Winfred "Coop" Cooper got a hand-delivered surprise Tuesday during football practice at Elgin High School.

The autistic senior, who gained fame recently for his Sept. 12 touchdown against Lake Park High School, was presented with autographed goods and a short video from Packers' wide receiver Donald Driver by WISN, the ABC affiliate in Milwaukee.

Among the gifts: an autographed Packers' hat with number 80 on it - also Cooper's number - a Packer's cup and a children's book penned by Driver.

Driver learned about Cooper's touchdown and the "Driver Driver" play named after him which led to it when an Elgin High father called the Packers' after reading Coop's story in the Daily Herald.

School officials called Coop's father, Winfried Cooper, late last night, and asked him to come to the school's practice field around 3:30 p.m. for a "Donald Driver surprise."

In the video, Driver said he'd read the story, and was touched that the play was named after him.

He also joked that he'd like to race Cooper in a 40-yard dash. Cooper joked that he wasn't sure who would win.

"It's been a real exciting week," he said.
