Packers fans are being more hated...by me.

For every Greg C or Porky there's a bunch of...IDIOTS and i hate that cuz since GB is 'my team' I want ALL our fans to be awesome.

Not the case. 😞

I don't know how this fits in, but I skimmed through and seen that fans were for Favre, White and then Favre again or something like that. The fact is, Lambeau Field has been sold out long before Favre even started playing football in the NFL. It was sold out before he came and will continue to be sold out after. The Packers have had one of the largest fan bases in any professional sports team for quite a long time.

Like others have said, no offense to the original post in this thread, but I couldn't give two shits on how I'm perceived as a fan. ESPECIALLY by fans of other teams.

My love for my Packers runs deep, and my opinion on the Favre thing is exactly THAT...my opinion. And as such, I'm entitled to it, as others are entitled to be different than mine.

I don't know I guess we all have different experiences. I know the reason I became a Packers fan was based on the fans. As a kid, I got to go to a game at Lambeau and thats why I like the Packers in the first place. Unbelievably knowledgable fans, great fanbase, really respectful of the game and the other team even.

I've moved a lot growing up and even now and I never really experienced that general Packers fan hate at all. Like Cowboys, Eagles, Patriots, etc. yeah but people always liked Packers fans and respected them in my general experiences.

But overall, someone I know thats a Lions fan really put it in perspective for me recently. He basically said from his view

"Favre wanted to play, Packers rightfully moved on (they should not have even entertained the idea of a return because Favre's a baby and drama queen) and so Favre moved on. He wanted to play, the Vikings wanted him, is that really enough to destroy 16 years to the point where Packers fans are burning Favre gear and going to boo him?"

I also think that Packers are in a no-win situation because I don't think that the Packers fan inherently are any worse than any other fan base. If Big Ben left the Steelers in a similar manner, there would be a group of Steelers fans that would boo Big Ben and burn his jersey and forget the two Super Bowls. Its just an unfortunate situation that the Packers nation is in.

I don't see People upset when Cutler was booed in Denver during the pre-season. Obviously that isn't anywhere near the same thing (Cutler wasn't in Denver that long) but I didn't see people complaining about that.

There are so few people who have ever been in the shoes of Packer nation. I'm only 20, but I'd go out and say with the way it unraveled, no one has had it worse than us in history (someone yell at me if I'm wrong). Yeah, we could feel sorry for ourselves, instead we're just enjoying Aaron Rodgers and cracking jokes about the things of Favre that we now can see are silly.

People can hate Packer fans all they want, but we won't come close to the Cowboys or Patriots. And in the end, as long as we win on Monday, that's all that matters (at least until the next Favre vs. Packers match-up).

Non Packer fans have been looking for SOMETHING to piss and moan about us for a long time.
I don't really think it's any different now then it was 10 years ago.
Those that hate us, always hated us.
My answer to them is----Who cares?
If you hate me for my opinion on the whole Brett Favre mess, then you are pretty shallow yourself and need to look at yourself in the mirror.
If thats what you use to gauge your dislike of someone, you have a pretty bad outlook on life.
I have friends that are Bears fans, Viking fans, Steeler fans, and so on. Some can get pretty crazy about their teams. So what? They, and I, know it's ONLY A SPORT!!!
If thats you highest goal, then you are shooting pretty low in my opinion.

I liked this post out of all the posts I read.

I dont "hate" Brett. I cant erase all those years of rooting and cheering for #4. But I WILL NOT, root for him, cheer for him, etc... so long as he wears that purple uniform. I recognize his greatness, the same as I recognize Adrian Peterson's amazing ability, but I wont pretend that I'm happy when I see the Vikings come back and win a game in the final seconds thanks to Favre. I want to see the Vikings lose, and for that to happen, I have to root against Favre.

But its not me "hating" him. Its me being a Packer fan.

Honestly I haven't heard much whining and crying about Favre in out side of football sites...(maybe because I don't live in a NFC North area)... and I don't think Packers fans are crapping on Favre for wanting to play....

They're crapping on Favre because he's made so much drama out of the team treating him like 95% of the players being treated.

I mean he's lied, his agent has lied (about no coming back)... he's made statement like there isn't a chance I'm going back which knowing Favre is stupid to say because their is always a chance and Favre got 12 million dollars... you think the agent got that contract over night? Or had it planed at least some what....

The whole Greta thing.... saying he wants to stick it to the Packers (management)......... and just the all the drama is what Packers are crapping on......

well that and he's playing in the NFC North... I mean come on teams are always crapping on other in division QBs.... people have been crapping on the Vikings, Lions and Bears QBs for as long as i can remember.....

I agree with IronMan if you had in the drama factor and the Vikings factor. I think the Packers fans are treating like any Viking QB that mean drama with the Packers though the media.

I think that the reason so many people "hate" Brett Favre is not because of Brett, but because of his fans that refuse to ever criticize him or hold him accountable for anything.

A lot of those same Favre fans hate Aaron Rodgers just because he isn't Favre; and actually root against him for that reason.

So, to combat the Favre fanatic/Rodgers haters, a lot of Packers fans have retaliated by bashing Brett Favre.

This isn't true for everyone. Some people have never liked Brett. But I firmly believe 90% of the Favre hate is directly related to his crazy fans that think he can do no wrong.

Zero2Cool (7h) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (10h) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (12h) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22-Jan) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
