Two years can seem like along time, but in the world of football, two years is nothing. Week four of the 2007 season was one Packer fans will or should always remember. Green Bay was coming off of a stunning upset victory over the San Diego Chargers, whom won 14 games the year prior, and Brett Favre was one touchdown pass away from becoming the all-time leader in touchdown passes.

Try and think back to that date. I know it's in there somewhere. It might be hard to find, but it's there. Now that you got it, remember the excitement that you felt when you saw Favre throw touchdown No. 421 to Greg Jennings against the Minnesota Vikings in the Metrodome. After reflecting on this great Packer moment only one thing comes to my mind..... full article.

Good stuff!

I think the emotional roller coaster plays into our favor as well. But I don't think McCarthy will steer away from his stubbornness in his game plan. I don't think he likes adjusting his game plan much. I think he feels 'hey this is a good plan, players need to execute it!' instead of going with what his players can do best or what's working.

another great article. I agree with you wholeheartedly on the play-calling. Keep the chains moving, don't go for the grandslam on every play. I think the more time our offense spends on the field, the more efffective our defense will be. The common effect of an attacking defense (as opposed to the Packers reactive defense of bygone years) is that it takes more gas out of the players. I think if we expect to see the results that we want out of our defense, we have to HAVE TO win the time-of-possession battle.

I get MY Packer fix in my basement on a 52" big screen...

Oh HOW to fix... hmmmm A LOT better play from the Oline and a GOOD run smothering Defense...

I agree good job.

I thought about getting together with some other fans (both GB and MN) but I decided to stay home and watch.
Betrayal is right. It will kinda hurt to see Bart Farve playing for the Vikings and I would rather be alone when I do.

This is my feeling as well. He's a very prideful coach which might be one of the reasons why Favre is not a Packer any longer. I think McCarthy doesn't want to put all the work that goes into a game plan to waste. I get that, but I would argue that the other team is also putting in a lot of work to game plan to stop you so in the end, a lot of times, it all cancels each other out and that's why the adjustments made at halftime make sense.

Another worrisome stat.

GB has zero 3rd quarter points this season.

I 100% agree with what you are "Wondering" about McCarthy's offensive game plan! Me and my dad sitting there every sunday, screaming for some quick passes. They work every time. I havent seen too many other people out there doing that. So im glad to see someone else thinks so! GO PACK!!!!!!!

I hope that Barnett is able to do what he mentioned during training camp and hit favre a couple of times. But on the outcome of the game I believe a lot depends on AP and how we shut him down
