Surreal?

Brett Favre. Purple Jersey, pink cleats. Monday Night Football, against us.

Backdrop being the memory of a crying Brett at a certain press conference and the memories that conjures up.

That beats the crap out of President Obama in charge of our country and Barney Frank and friends in charge of our money.

That's not surreal. That is sublime.

That's different.

It's going to be weird seeing Favre back there.

The NFL is a marathon and not sprint so I won't call this a must win game. Even if they lose, Green Bay and Minnesota still have a lot of football left. Still, winning in Minnesota would be the statement that this team needs. Not to mention that it would really boost morals.

My predictions:
1. Pre-game will hype game as "one for the ages."
2. Reality will be a game with lots of mistakes (penalties,turnovers, bad coaching decisions) on both sides.

Sorry, dfosterf, the game will prove neither surreal nor sublime.

Merely a substandard game that, because of the rivalry,Favre factor, etc, will lead many of us to lose our voice and have bigger hangovers than normal.

Oh yes, one other prediction:
3. 24-21 GB wins.

Even if the bad happens, we have bye week coming into games with Detroit and Cleveland. So we could still be 4 - 2 after the first six games even if we lose.
