I usually consider myself a half-full kind of guy. (It makes for much tension in the household, as my resident elderly mother is definitely a half-empty person.)
But as I was reflecting on my reactions to these last two games, I realize that my optimism definitely "depends."
When it comes to markets, to Gen Y, to the Internet, to things Packer in general -- I definitely tend to see things as half full. On the other hand, when it comes to other things (politicians, my fellow members of the professoriat, the Packer OL), I tend to be a knee jerk half-empty person.
So, here's my question, what sort of things do *you* tend to be half empty on, and which ones to you tend to be half full on?
(Mods: please feel free to move this wherever you think appropriate -- I can never keep straight which of my rambles should go where.)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
