My friend and former Starbucks employee Tacheo Machiatto, is now working cleaning the streets around Lambeau, from his vantage point he can get a lot of insider information and he is sometimes able to infiltrate practices. He will be sending me reports and if you don't mind I think this is a good place to share his reports.
So here we go:
Infiltrating practiceSince Atari Bigby is injured the Packers are working hard trying to improve Aaron Rouse's coverage skills.
The Packers have installed a big two door fridge near one of the endzones of practice field. It seems the fridge is used in a drill where Aaron Rouse has to cover the fridge in goal-line situations, he has to stay near the fridge as the play develops at all times.
McCarty commented "it is working but we've had mixed results so far. As soon as Aaron gets this drill we'll bring something more mobile like a Washing machine..."
Injury report (secret injuries)Punter Derrick Frost can't still move his arms above his heead, he is too used to the punting mechanism that his arms only move from knee level to his chest and back. Several cans of WD-40 were used but so far the injury remains the same
Rumours from the alleyMy source reveals the packers are trying to trade one player to another team for a pick. I can't disclose who my source is, the player, the team or the pick but remember I anticipated this when it happens.
Around the league: You read it here firstThe Raiders are converting former first round pick and QB Jamarcus Russell to a new position called "Center two". Russell will play behind center and block while the team bases his offense exclusively on run plays.
Brad Childress declared "Tarvaris Jackson is our QB... but he is not starting". The announcement made both Jackson and incumbent Gus Frearotte furious in a move that shows the great leadership skills Childress has developed in the purple team.
And now back to work, see you next time!
