1) RT (Barbre? Giacomini? Lang? ..... redo the whole line and move Colledge to RT?)

2) Depth at S (the starting safeties are always getting injured and the back-ups aren't too good)

3) Woodson letting guys deep (he was trying to get in Cutler's head by moving around but still... don't let them go deep)

4) DL (working very well but still not a lot of depth and got to keep them fresh)

5) Kicking game (wasn't horrible... but wasn't were it needs to be ether.)

Those are my opinions what's your?

Offensive line.

Everything else is going to look better once the offensive line improves.

Less holding penalties.

Rodgers has more time to throw, and therefore offense is more potent.

Less 3 and outs and so defense sees less time on the field, leaving them fresher.

Grant will be able to run better with bigger, or better held holes.

TEs can be released for checkdowns and crossing routes.

Play action passes are more dangerous.

Better field position for FG kicking.

In my opinion, it all comes down to the offensive line.

1) Barbre played well in the second half. That first half was horrible though

2) Bigby dissapointed me. Rouse shouldn't even be on the roster. Bush should see time as a backup rather than Rouse.

3) Woodson was the biggest dissapointment of the day.

4) Pickett-Jolly-Jenkins worked absolutely perfect today, nothing to fix (yet)

5) Crosby needs to work on consistency. Kapinos shanked a punt. That's our biggest area of concern right now.

Right tackle is the biggest area of concern IMHO. Barbre was horrible and if Rodgers keeps getting hit like he did last night, he won't last the season.

Barbre may have appeared to look better in the 2nd half only because they kept a tight end or running back in to help him.

I know people aren't used to seeing guys run past Woodson but that is zone coverage for you. He isn't going to just turn and run with a guy so much anymore.

I was mainly only concerned with the Offensive line and the penalties at bad times....

Other than that we looked good, maybe Rodgers getting a little more accurate.

Hard fought game, this pretty much showed how a team cannot be judged by pre-season performance.

A team must keep their O-line in tack to obtain success. First start for Barbre, he was man-handled a few times, but hopefully he can learn from the mistakes and do better next week.

This was an ole fashioned slobberknocker, The Pack came out on top, that is what is important.

Already The Packers have won a game which they probably would have lost last year.

The defense looked great, the offense struggled, but came through when needed, IMHO, nothing to fix, just things to work on and get better.

A win is a win, doesn't have to be pretty as long as a team gets the W.

Time to think about welcoming The Bungals to town, hopefully The Pack doesn't overlook them, they can play some tough defense, but 2-0 is looking real good right now.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

I agree on the rouse comment - its funny last year I started to hate bush because of his bad plays and penalties - and so far this year bush is the one making all the nice plays.

Rouse ya get em off the field. btw I think collins was dehydrated hence the difficulties. Heck lets see how martin is. We traded for him might as well see how he does this week in practice and get him some playing time vs the bengels.

IT'S WEEK 1 and very little is going to be solid on any team.

The only thing that looks like it NEEDs to be fixed is RT. Barbre was nothing short of a joke. I had my reservations about him before the season and now I'm convinced he's simply not talented enough to be a starter. Hell, he may prove me wrong, but I doubt it. He was getting beat on every play and looked resigned to it.

I think McCarthy needs to have another look at Giacomini or look towards bringing Mark Tauscher back in.

Do this right now. Don't "look at the film" . Don't "correct his pad level"

Take him out and shoot him for all I care. F#ck, I volunteer as a community service to come to Green Bay and ..........him for us. OK, maybe a slight bit extreme, bit I am so outraged and p#ssed about Allen "'ole" Barbre that I don't want to talk about anything else until I see that we are doing something substantial about it. If we don't fix this NOW--we go NOWHERE as a football team.

Sign him NOW. This MORNING. Should have woke him up and signed him ALREADY.

I am FURIOUS! (Can you tell?)

Jon Runyan ready to contribute

We cannot wait for Mark. Aaron will not live that long. Jon is ready. I watched a couple of his workouts/tryouts. F$ck, I bet Philly already has him locked up. Ted, get your ass on an airplane RIGHT NOW and go get Jon. This is the very definition of needing a free agent to help your team.

I am in no condition to type much more until I calm down, perhaps I will, but thanks to Allen I am in 24 hour loss mode instead of one week revel in the win mode.

My analysis is that Allen Barbre's difficulties had a larger effect on that football game than just the sacks and hurries in and of themselves. :thumbleft:
