I like to look at the other side of the coin. Bigby has been making highlight reels with big hits and INTs. For him I say So What. He hasn't been part of a highlight reel of an opposing team burning him either. I am happy if he never gets shown in either aspect. As long as he is out their doing what he is suppose to do correctly. Bigby is not our all star, he is a role player safety.

But he 'created' a lot of hype afted his amazing games near the end of the 2007 seasons. People don't expect him to be a solid player, they expect him to be a ballhawk and hard hitter.
He has been much less of a liability in coverage than I thought he would be. I thought of him more like a 46 S/LB hybrid-like guy. Like said, he's just the weak link in a very strong chain, but that's really not saying much.

To me this seems like blaming him, for Hype, not created by him, but by us as fans. Bigby wasn't out saying anything about his performance or claiming what he is or isn't. He made plays when he had the chance, and since he was young and unproven, he had more chances. If he is doing his job, QBs are less likely to go after him now.
I for one can not think of a chance for him to lay somebody out. So I won't penalize him, saying he is bad, when I haven't seen him burnt or missing easy tackles.
