Vikes: Deepest WR corps in division!

The Vikings suddenly have the deepest group of receivers in the NFC North, so much so that their leading receiver from the past two years -- Bobby Wade -- accepted a demotion and pay cut to stay with the team. Bernard Berrian, Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin figure to get most of the playing time this season, if everyone is healthy. Wade will provide insurance for three players who have been limited by injuries at various times in recent years. Youngsters Darius Reynaud and Jaymar Johnson also have playmaking ability.

This is obviously a report from Viking country!!!lol

They ahve some talent, but don't match up with THE BIG 5 of Green Bay

The Vikings are counting on production from a rookie (easier said than done at WR) and a guy who had 141 receiving yards last season. I know which receiving corps I'd rather have.

Well they won't have John David Booty throwing to them, just read Vikings released him.

Kevin Seifert is a closet Vikings fan.

No seriously he covered Minnesota for years and he does lean towards them so I assume he probably is a fan or was at one time a fan.

Think Chris Havel, but this guy actually worked his way up to bigger and better things.

As far as what he wrote. He couldn't be more off. The Vikings receiving core is a joke compared to the Packers. Berrian is a No. 3 in Green Bay. Harvin hasn't established himself as a good enough route runner yet to be considered as good as some people are making him out to be. Sidney Rice and James Jones were in the same draft and Jones has out played him.

It's just either or brain freeze on his part or he thinks it and is wrong.

I think Seifert is trying to make himself look like a genius. I think he's banking that Favre will exploit the teams who load up the box which will make the WR's look far better than they are and wants to be the first one to say the Vikings have good WR's.

The Vikings are who they are. If anything, Favre will make the TE look better because he always throws to the TE if he gets in trouble where as a lot of QBs go to the back.
