I very much doubt this as well.

Bernard Berrian is such an overrated receiver. He's a burner, but has been very mediocre statistically. Wade and Rice are 3s on most teams. They could start on a team like the 49ers, but they're really not that great.

Now, for Harvin... he's an exceptional athlethe. They have a very special kid here if he can keep his head straigth and focus on football instead of... extracurricular activities. Still, he's a 1st year guy and normally they don't tend to produce a whole lot. I'm just hoping he won't.

Rice has just exploded onto the scene and has quickly become an elite receiver. Harvin has been a great slot guy so far and is a very promising player. Berrian is still horribly overrated.

I think that, when you go 3 deep, they might be better. That's the only way I can give them an advantage.

Jennings and Driver - Rice and Berrian. Advantage GB, easily.

Jennings, Driver and Jones - Rice, Berrian and Harvin. Might give this one to the Vikes.

Jennings, Driver, Jones and Nelson - Rice, Berrian, Harvin and Lewis. This one goes to GB again.

Overall, I'm still saying that GB has the deeper and better receiving group, but if/when Driver stops playing at this level and Harvin progresses into an even better player, that Vikes just might take that from us.

I agree with you but the only thing is that Jones has probably the best hands out of all these WR's. If he could pick up just a little more speed, he could become an elite WR instead of a good one.

I love the packers 4 receivers and Finley at tight end. Hard to remember a better group. I'd compare them to the 90's Oilers with Givens, Duncan, Jefferies and Hill plus a great tight end. I know it will never happen but i hope they stay together for a long time. They all catch the ball very well, hardly any drops that i've noticed. They all seem really in tuned with the offense and all have good speed......even Jones, he's not a burner but he has good size. I think Rodgers can get 40 - 45 td's from this group in a couple years if they go super aggressive like the Patriots did a few years ago.

Whatever (I'm saying this to the guy who wrote the article, not Grave). They got 3 solid WRs. I'll give them that.

We got 4.

Last time I checked, 4 > 3.

I agree with Shield. Jones is underrated. I was arguing with folks in chat last game about Jones vs Jordy. Don't get me wrong. I really like Jordy. But Jones is better.

They were also saying Jones isn't a deep threat. What?!

I still miss Ruvell Martin, though.

And Walter Stanley.

Yeah, you guys have better depth, that's for sure. But Rock makes some good points.

I would also like to add that Siefert was WAY off, despite the Vikings WR corps. exploding on the scene..

Im still trying to figure out what makes Jones and Nelson supposedly so great? I just don't see it. I think its alot of homerism going on. I would take the Vikes top 3 wrs over ours in a heartbeat.

Grave you say our wr corp hardly dropped any passes, have you watched any games this year? Hell that was the excuse everyone was using for Rodgers in games. I don't remember what game it was but it was later in the year and hell in the 1st quarter i think we had 7 drops.

Driver 70 catches 1061
Jennings 68 cathez 1113
Jones 32 Catches 440

Rice 83 catches 1312
Harvin 60 catches 790
Berrian 55 catches 618
Favre 1 catch -2
ok i had to throw the last part in there

Tds favor the Vikes 18 -15

now for drops

Driver 7 (tied for 8th in NFC)
Jennings 5
Jones 5

The only Vikes on the list are Taylor and Shiancoe no wrs

(edited because found 2010 list)
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I like your group of receivers and your QB. I think the Vikings surprised many people with the emergence of Rice and Harvin but you guys have some solid, physical guys that can really give a defense fits. You guys play outside in the elements while my team plays indoors on the rug, which gives them a big advantage in yards IMHO.

That being said I am very happy to see us have a 1000 yd WR and to finally see a QB throw for more than 300 yards as well as WR's getting over 100 in a game. It has been a hell of a drought since Moss left.

I think your offense is going to be damn scary next year if they can keep Rodgers healthy.

No worries here about Rogers staying healthy. He took how many hits and kept bouncing back up to throw another TD? He's an Ironman.
