~ Kuhn is used as a FB / power runner and he beats out Wynn because he adds more to STs.
~ Havner just doesnt add as much to ST as Hall and Kuhn can and do and they dont need a back-up another LB
~ Rouse just isnt playing well and would be cut but because of his upside and because he is currently injured they put him on the PUP instead.
~ With only 6 DL (and Harrell being one of them) they need to keep at least two DL on the practice squad.

Starting to sound a lot like sutton won't make it. and do u really think we're keeping 3 fb's on the roster? i also don't see havner on that list, i'd like to think he'll be kept.

edit: guess i should have read your end notes before replying eh

No I don't really think they'll keep 3 FB but I think they should think they should at least strongly think about it. I meant Kuhn and Hall had more than Wynn and Havner do IMO.

Kuhn can be a power back just like Wynn and Hall is better on ST than Havner and can play some TE if needed (which none of them are too good at).

Nice list, I expect that will be close to what we go with.

You make some good points about FB v Wynn, but with Jackson getting injured I'm not sure they will take just Grant and Sutton to start the season. I'd like to see us get at least some compensation for one of Hall or Kuhn as both a starting calibre FBs. Kind of makes you wonder why we drafted QJ. Ah well.

Rouse cannot be put on the PUP but could be a candidate for IR if we wanted to keep hold of him that way.

I agree if Harrell makes the roster we are a little thin on the DL, but I'd like to get Kregg Lumpkin and Obiozer on the PS if possible.

Nice list beast

For me what players are up for grabs are havner, our FBs, how many corners do we need?, and our RB situation. I have also wondered about Dietrich-Smith.

I do agree with you that martin is the better #5 man.

Seen some comments about kuhn in ST (since he has been the talk of getting cut) ... btw you see some of his plays this preseason? ... nice plays. Liked that power touchdown run last game and I know he had a nice tackle in ST.

I'd really like to see harrell go. I'll take wynn over harrell. But thats me and I agree they might keep harrell since they are light on big fat Dlinemen.

I'd be interested to see how close your list matches up with the one coming out.

They drafted QJ because he moves everybody... very few FB do that... but he can basically push but most people... but he's raw and needs work.

O... well then IR then... he has upside but isn't one of the best 53 so put him on the IR and maybe he will be next year.

Yeah I kind of rushed to make the PS list. The TE and one of the DL can probably go... but I'd also look for a S to put on that list.

i like Havner but he's not that good at TE or LB... I think Kuhn and Hall are better. We need 5 CB BUT those CBs are too good to cut. (I wouldn't mind moving one of those CBs to FS and cutting Bush) Also Dietrich-Smith could be one of the best 9 OL but the problem is that the teams needs more and better OTs because they're solid at his position which hurts him. Also I don't think someone will claim him... As far as Martin, I want to give someone else a chance because martin hasn't proved anything but none of the other WRs have stepped up enough to say they would add more than Martin's ST play... so Martin says and the one or two WR to the PS squad.

The question isn't who you want more Wynn or Harrell it's if anyone being cut is better than Harrell on the DL? And other than maybe other than Montgomery the answer is an easy no... Harrell is better than them.... so it comes down to Harrell or Montgomery and I picked Harrell because it sounded like he could play a couple 8 to 12 snaps a game and then rest the week and be ready for the next game and 8 snap from Harrell IMO is better than a lot of Montgomery.

Also remember this is a wish list... not what I think will happen list. Like I don't think they'll keep 3 FBs but I think they should strongly think about it.

beast: I like the way you resolved the log jam at fullback. Ted always says that you keep your best players, and he has done that kind of thing before. Jon Kuhn is a better football player than Spencer Havner, no doubt about it.

The only name on your roster that I'm not quite down with is Justin Harrell. I hope you are right and he's healthy enough to contribute, but I have a feeling he'll go on IR and Montgomery will survive for another year.

Seeing Kuhn come on strong second half of the pre season has made me keen to keep him around somehow. Certainly playing him as a hybrid FB/HB/TE would be a novel approach.

But I want Grant, Jackson, Wynn and Sutton as well and I'm not sure we can carry 7 RBs.

With 2 TEs though I suppose it is a very slim possibility. On sheer quality of play I think all 7 squeeze into our top 53.

I'm not sure... I've just heard a weak rumor that he could play but they don't want to bother his injury until the season starts. If he can't play he goes on the IR and they keep Montgomery (with a wild shot of Tally maybe beating out Montgomery but not likely).

I think if we want to put Harrell on IR he must first clear waivers (something to do with him being at the club for a certain amount of time).

I can't find where it was I read it. Can anyone confirm this? Would he clear waivers?
