So, I was lying down on Sunday, thinking about our skill position productivity when I had a chilling flashback to Sterling Sharpe's career ending injury (probably came about when Jennings took that big hit in the Arizona game) - and it got's me to thinking - can Jennings' further develop into our undisputed star of stars reciever?
Now, anyone who watched football from the very late eighties to the mid-90's knows that Sterling Sharpe was hall-of-fame bound, a perennial pro-bowler and a beautiful target for a young Miss. Gunslinger, before that injury.
I think all the tools are in place for Jennings to be one of our most productive recievers of all time, great speed, hands and best of all, a smart head - coupled with the fact that we have a deep recieving corps (Now including Jermichael Finley, who I maintain will be one of the best tight-ends in the league in a few years) - it also means that there are others who can shoulder the work.
So, the question asked :-
Do you think Greg "God" Jennings can match/surpass Sterling Sharpe's legacy?
I think so.
