Quotes from Vikings players:

"I'm telling you it's already done," said one Viking. "Right after the Indy game (first preseason game). I don't think anyone here doesn't think that."

Another Viking said, "I don't know if it's done, but I think he'll be in by the third preseason game."

hey look what i found

"The Packers are going to suck this year and we are working on getting Ted Thompson fired" said one Packer.

"Aaron Rodgers is Ted Thompson's lost son from a one night stand" said another Packer player.

see how stupid it is to say a player and not be man enough to give names.

it's all BS from the media, when the deal does get done then report the facts, i'm so fricken sick of it all and can really care less. If he signs i buy another jersey big deal and if it's all BS i save money by not buying another jersey lol.

Right, I'm sure the Vikings players want to be named so Childress can discipline them.

I'm also sure Glazer would want to ruin his journalistic integrity too with a completely made up story.

Sorry Dhazer, this story has legs.

Your reputation as a journalist doesn't exist, and isn't securing your salary. You can say whatever the hell you want. Glazer needs to weigh his decisions somewhat carefully.

Lets see here...

Brett dislikes training camp and the extra work preparing for the season in a team setting... Check.

Brett has wanted to play with the Vikings from the moment the Packers said "NO" to him... Check.

Brett has flipped and flopped more times that a couplr griddles worth of pancakes does at a IHOP every morning.. Check.

The media has a absolute crush upon anything Favre related and it is sure to drive headlines... Check.

Childress would grovel upon his knees for the "legend" to save his ass in Minnesota for another season.. Check.

So what in the world makes anyone even the least bit surprised that someone lacking anything catchy to write about would "whore" out this tiresome tale?

It was just a matter of whom in the press would go first.. nothing more.

oh im sure it is a story, like i heard one reporter say "when it comes to Favre and the Vikings when theres smoke theres a fire" But what i am saying i am tired of the reports but yet they can't put names behind it at all. Like i said report when he signs the contract then write the damn story.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

"Don't know anything about (Glazer's story)," Cook wrote in an e-mail.

Asked if Favre were still open to returning to the NFL and staying in shape, Cook wrote, "Haven't really talked to him about that."

What's really wearing thin is Bus Cook's limp-wristed "It's not me!" act. The man is a high-priced agent and therefore a control freak -- not to mention his reputation is at stake. There's no way in hell he's out of the loop on this.

His client has an entire NFL organization wrapped around his letter finger. It's an agent's dream come true. No wonder he seems so smug about it. He probably said/wrote that quote with a big ol' smirk on his face.

Another fitting analogy would be Nixon and his "I am not a crook" denial..

All I know is that thanks to this story there is fresh material to work with in the 900+ page Favre- to- Vikes thread at P.P.O.

I know this will come as a shock, but I have already opted to take full advantage.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”

Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
