I voted the same, but because all the reason in RP's post(or waaaas it Dhazer?), are completely wrong The Packers will win the close games this year and probably finish with 9,10 or 11 wins.

I am talking numbers, there will be some growing pains moving from a base 4-3 to a base 3-4, mistakes will be made, improvement will come with experience, the offense will need to carry the defense early.

I believe they can.

This defense will improve in overall numbers because we will bring added pressure, this should help late in the game in passing situations where we got picked clean last season.

My biggest concern with the switch is communication in the secondary and run defense, if the backers don't show a better ability to fit off block and play downhill.. I fear our rush defense will not improve or might possibly at times be worse. That is unless those front 3 downs chew up blockers at a higher rate and spit out the seeds.

We will be better... And our schedule strength? We are the third easiest in the league behind Chicago and Minnesota. Says a lot about our division last year. Still we will have at least 9 wins maybe 10

But we also get the AFC North and the NFC West. There's no reason not to go 6-2/5-3 over that stretch. We should be able to beat the entire NFC West, but a point can be made for the Cardinals, I guess.

I'd say 11-5, with losses coming to the Cowboys, Vikings, Bears, Steelers and Ravens. Like I said, a point can be made for the Cardinals and we could always have some bad luck against a team like the Browns, which would put us at 9-7. Very respectable if you look at our record last year.

There's no doubt in my mind that we should go higher than 6-10. We should have 5 sure wins and another 4 we should be ashamed about if we lost them.

well, its overwhelming, packer nation, or at least this forum feel the defense will be better, and the packers will make the playoffs.

i will agree. but i think barnett, and cullen jenkins are critical to the Packers improving on defense. both these guys need to stay healthy all season. i am hoping to see our 1st round draft pick get into camp and onto the practice field soon as well. i'd like to see harrell, raji and jenkins as the starting three defensive linemen on opening day.

it seemed once jenkins went down, teams were really able to take kampman out of games.

at first i was skeptical of moving kampman to OLB, but the articles i have read state he is doing great and maybe one of the best at this position going into 2009.

packers have some decent talent on defense, i hope to see them stop ppl and establish lambeau as a tough place to play again.

i predict a 10-6 record and a division championship

Wow, dhpackr, I thought you were one of the people who thought we would be bad until Ted Thompson left. I will give you a +1, just because I've never seen a positive post like the one you just put up.

I think the defense will be better. Two reasons. 1) Dom Capers. 2) Kevin Greene.

Zero2Cool (7h) : on new site, would Fan Shout and GameDay Chat show same messages?
Mucky Tundra (7h) : The Hall of Fame stuff probably came from a scout as Zero said; at this point though it's hard to see them moving ZT from RT
Mucky Tundra (7h) : Regarding ZT at C, Gute had said he felt C was ZTs best position after he was drafted.
Zero2Cool (8h) : LB Oren Burks to sign a 2-year, $5M deal with the Bengals.
Zero2Cool (8h) : Based on how it was worded at the time, probably scout.
beast (8h) : I don't think the media person ever told the public the source, but Gute or LaFleur did say they thought Tom has earned his spot at OT
beast (8h) : I think it was supposedly unnamed Packers source
buckeyepackfan (9h) : Was that Gute or Lefleur or someone else?
buckeyepackfan (9h) : Zach Tom could be a really good guard, an all pro tackle, but probably be a HOF Center. Who said that?
Zero2Cool (9h) : It's March 10th. I don't think anything is done.
Martha Careful (9h) : if we think CB is done, we have a poor roster

Mucky Tundra (11h) : Surprises the Seahawks signed Darnold for that money
buckeyepackfan (11h) : Depends on what Kupp is igned for.
Martha Careful (11h) : The Bears are adding to their defensive line. Chicago is signing former Colts pass-rusher Dayo Odeyingbo to a three-year, $48 million deal
Zero2Cool (12h) : Free agent DT Poona Ford to the #Rams on a 3-year, $30M
