Waddle and Silvy said the only thing that Driver screwed up on was lying about the Bears defense and saying they are great, lol. Other than that, they don't think it's bulletin board material. as some have said, if the team lacks enough motivation to have to use those comments, then there are bigger problems in Bears land.

First of all theres a bunch of guys out there is linked to the same comments and every receiver not signed or looking for a trade has been brought into Bears discussions. So, pick one to try and get motivated from.

Secondly, even playing them first it's almost two months out so it's not like they are playing them this week.

If any of the Bears players came out and said "well, the Pack has to be somewhat concerned about their players transition to the 3-4" which would also make that player a front runner for the title of Captain Obvious does anyone here think the defense would somehow become extra motivated?

Besides, he's right. Our Corners will own their receivers. They couldn't do anything against our guys when they were better than what they have now so I don't know what they can do about it.

I remember a couple of years ago having a verbal war on the other site we all used to go to with a Bears fan the week we played them. Not even sure who he was boasting about now but he was so fast and so good he was going to put up big numbers. I researched him and he was averaging like three or four catches and something like 60 yards a game and I said "no, no, Toto, OUR DB's are better than he's faced so far." The guy ended up with like two or three catches and 40 yards or something like that and I never heard from that Bears fan again.

Anyone thinking that Cutler is going to try to use Drivers comments in the huddle is sorely mistaken.

Really? Remember... Every comment over time becomes a "They Said" from it's original "He Said."

If he is a good communicator/motivator in the huddle he will use it..

Third and 8 at the Packers 42 yard line:

Bears enter the huddle.

CUTLER:

"All right, all right ... Shut up. We can do this!"

"Zebra Slot Right... Orange Boy... On Three."

"Listen Listen... Remember.. They said you are the weakest link."

"YOU CAN DO IT" "YOU CAN DO IT... SHOW THEM NOW."

"ZEBRA SLOT RIGHT ORANGE BOY... ON THREE..... BREAK!"

Ohhh I beg to differ. He will use it. It may be subtle, but he will use it.

He can use it all he wants - but the point is that getting butthurt because Driver said they weren't good won't help them become better receivers. I agree with Rock - they'll actually have to become better receivers for any of this to matter.

The biggest thing from this is I never heard Driver make a negative comment about another team before thus it took me by shock. It just seems like things are happening that are uncharacteristic from some of our players.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Could it also be that Driver is now one of the main team leaders, and thus is questioned alot more then when #4 was the center of attention? Now DD is the one getting asked questions, and he's answering them honestly. Or as honestly as he can. I mean, laughing would have given the Bears something to motivate, and Driver must have been pinching his inner thigh to keep from busting out with laughter. I give him credit for that.

I agree with that totally. I guess it comes with the evolution of the team, which hasn't gone through this large of a metamorphisis since The Mullet Man was put out to stable, at least for my lifetime so far.

It's like Driver converted his "1st Down Shimmy" dance into words. Let's just keep the majority of the swagger on the field. As long as himself nor anyone become like Desmond Howard in the Super Bowl, i didn't enjoy that trash talking.

One week for our HS football team we had the bulliten board full of crap, everybody got really pumped, and we lost the game really badly.

I already asked this question once, but it got lost in the shuffle, so here goes again: What is it that our other players have said that you think is so bad? I haven't heard anything questionable, and I follow the Packers pretty closely.

Zero2Cool (15h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (18h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (18h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (20h) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (20h) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (20h) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (20h) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (20h) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (20h) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (20h) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (20h) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (20h) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (20h) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (20h) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (20h) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (22h) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (22h) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (22h) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
