I didn't like his music that much, but he was just such an iconic person. Regardless of the mistakes he (arguably) made.

The Japanese kid who testified against him when he was 12 came out when he was 18 and admitted that his parents had forced him to lie about the whole thing.

The most recent incident was instigated by a mother who enrolls her kids in acting classes so they can be more convincing when she makes false charges against people. (She'd previously made false allegations of harassment against a store security guard.)

None of the allegations against MJ were ever corroborated and they were all clearly motivated by filthy lucre.

When will people stop condemning public figures in the court of opinion?

He was ok. A STRANGE dude, any way you look at it. But he was a good entertainer. I don't know if he did what they said or not. But they never proved anything.
I hope he ended up somewhere where he is happier then he was here.

I saw him once on TV, having a "shopping spree". The things he wasted MILLIONS of dollars on was crazy. He was eccentric, for sure.

Well...sad truth is, we ALL will die someday. I hope he ended up in the right place though.
It's always a shock when a "star" passes away.
I think the way his dad was really messed him up as a kid. He wasn't allowed to have a childhood, and it messed him up.
I don't think he EVER recovered from that.

Hopefully people will remember his brilliant music more so than his other troubles. He has left a major impact on so many people and has influenced most of todays best artists. He was my favorite artist growing up.. it's unbelievabally sad.. still can't accept it.

As the last years went on I found myself thinking he just needed to go away and not be in the public eye..I dont know if it was cuz of his legal troubles or not, but I did feel that way..

But I ALWAYS enjoyed his music...I was given Thriller ( album not cd )as a bday present and I still have it..

He did so many great things with music and had so many LEGENDS join him...

He WILL be remembered for his music and not his legal issues..

A tragic end for a icon of a decade.. I can say honestly I was never a fan of his music, just not my thing. Albeit the Thriller video was pretty cool itself... changed the face of videos going forward.

RIP.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
