My wife and I went through a situation like this 4 years ago a friend of ours was stabbed to death by a guy who should been in jail for fleeing to elude, DUI, battery to a peace officer. He was released on 1000 dollar bail and stabbed our friend the following night. The judge gave the bail cause he felt that a higher bail would have been an undue hardship. Battery, and fleeing to elude are violent acts were the offender has no regard for the lives of anyone around them.
If this ass clown would have been held in the place he should have this never would have happen. I am also sure that the coach would have given his life for the kids in that school and he did. He presented the target of this mans insane rage. Had he not been there would we have been talking about his death or the death of God knows how many kids.
I am therefor I think.

Damn. I just read some more on this truly sad event.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Thomas family this day.

As to the cowardly little piece of shit that did this, I don't give a rats ass what kind of "psychological problems" he has.
Give him a fair trial, then take him out and hang him.

I know that will do nothing to assuage the tremendous loss and grief of the Thomas family, but that is the way I feel.

Let's not kid ourselves. Obama did that because he wants to be President for a 2nd term.

I couldn't care less why he did it. What's important is he did the right thing. But your theory probably has a lot of validity to it. Sometimes pragmatism just happens to work in our favor.

True. If some hot chick flashes the guy in back of me and I happen to see it because the guy she intended to flash is in back of me, I'll still chalk that up as a win. :thumbright:

Such an incredibly sad story; a man who by all accounts was a leader in the school and community, and helped develop players into decent people, struck down much too early.
My thoughts & prayers go out to his family, friends & former players.

Kampman's statement on passing of coach

The Packers have released the following statement from linebacker Aaron Kampman on the death of his prep coach, Ed Thomas, who was shot and killed this morning at Aplington-Parkersburg High School in Iowa.

Coach Thomas was very special to me and many other young men from the Aplington-Parkersburg communities. His legacy for many will be associated with his tremendous success as a football coach. However, I believe his greatest legacy comes not in how many football games he won or lost but in the fact that he was a committed follower of Jesus Christ. He lived his life trying to exemplify this faith and convey those values to those under his influence. His faith in Christ pervaded everything he did and that is why in the midst of the heartache we all feel there is comfort in knowing he is with his Savior.

Very sad incident indeed ... but let's not get sickly political in the wake of a tragedy. We can have lofty discussions about gun control or the nature of our criminal justice system another time.

I get it, though -- when things like this happen it almost necessarily causes a combination of anger and sadness. I'm not trying to sound self-righteous, don't get me wrong.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.
