Tidal waves of change? Is not that what we have now. An economy of crap worthless money and people in desperation. This kinda thing is nothing more than a looking glass of our society of microwaved morals and caffinated ethics. Its all relative one mans murder is another mans justice. It makes no sense no matter how you slice it but we will get to see liberals come out and blame the gun. Repulicans will blame the liberals. Instead maybe as a country we should return to out moral and ethical roots. Demand justice for the victim and ensure that we tell our kids that violence of this kind is never justified.
I am therefor I think.

I had heard the shooter was a former player. Don't know how substantiated that is, but it was stated.

Microwaved morals and caffinated ethics?? Good one, jbshell! I am only 46, but have a hard time recognizing the society we now live in versus the one I grew up with. I feel fortunate that I grew up during the last moments of societal greatness in this declining cesspool of a country...where every bad behavior is excused or defended instead of being punished or corrected.

Turn that turd loose amongst the Iowa farm folk and let them exact a form of justice that actually would deter future acts....by every account, this coach was an exceptional professional and person, and beloved by those within the community and beyond.

Digs.. you are correct... former player..

Source..

DES MOINES, Iowa - Police have charged a 24-year-old former player in the fatal shooting of a prominent Iowa high school football coach.

Police say Mark Becker shot Aplington-Parkersburg High School football coach Ed Thomas several times at about 8 a.m. Wednesday in the school's weight room. Authorities say students were in the room when Thomas was shot, but no one else was injured.

Police say Becker was arrested shortly after the shooting. He is charged with first-degree murder and is being held in Butler County jail.

Quite a few more details. The shooter should have been in jail in the first place...But who wouldn't have guessed that.

What...you mean our non-judgemental, every bad behavior has a cause society and justice system did not see fit to put a criminal behind bars?

This, dear friends, is precisely what I was referring to above. How many times do we read or hear that the serial rapist, murderer or child molester has a rap sheet as long as their arm when committing their latest atrocities?

Put a fuckin' bullet in their brains, end their misery, and give us back our neighborhoods....instead of trying to put the Level 3 sex offender a block away from me in a neighborhood chock full of kids and schools.

But, of course, we would then be in judgement of others, which is strictly forbidden in our new, progressive society!

I saw that tornado with my own two eyes . . . It came within a mile of my in-laws' house before veering off.

This is one of those days where I wish everyone was packing. The moment he had pulled his piece, six other guys could have jumped his ass. Thank goodness that according to the June 8 edition of Newsweek, pro-gun sentiment is rising in this country. It's long overdue.

By the way, Obama just signed a bill allowing visitors to carry firearms in national parks, and he has so far refused to entertain the notion of renewing the assault weapons ban. I'm impressed.

Let's not kid ourselves. Obama did that because he wants to be President for a 2nd term. $100 says that Bill Clinton had a talk with Obama to take a turn towards gun freedom. Bill had that same talk with Al Gore and Al Gore didn't listen and lost. Then he had that same talk with John Kerry and John Kerry didn't listen and he lost. I don't know for sure if Bill had that talk with Obama, but I'd bet it was a yes.

It was a nut job druggie that did it.

Another example of why society must have the death penalty.

There are some crimes that are so bad that offender cannot be allowed to live.

I couldn't care less why he did it. What's important is he did the right thing. But your theory probably has a lot of validity to it. Sometimes pragmatism just happens to work in our favor.
