lol, really? Then I wish I could turn back the clock and have Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, Don Hutson, 3 championships in a row, and 5 championships in 7 years.

Instead of dwelling on a team we'll never see again, I say we get excited about the team we currently have, a team I'm convinced is poised on the brink of success.

Nahh, that's too far back. I was not born yet to enjoy it. Without an outstanding defense or dependable running game I think we're poised for 8 wins at most especially with an improved Bears and likely Vikes team in our own division. I think both wild cards go to the NFC Yeast so, as a homer that i am, i'd say we have a 33% chance of making the playoffs but we need a few breaks(like Cutlers arm, Favre not coming to Minny, dependable defense and good health)

I think Favre going to Minnesota would increase our chances of winning the division.

As for winning only 8 games, I can't see it. We were in every single game but 2 right down to the wire. And even in those two games, we were leading at the half.

As long as the defense can sustain itself in the second half, we will certainly be above .500 this year.

Lol, knowing Brett Favre as we all do, do you really think he would allow himself to lose to the Packers? Not likely.

He won't have a choice if the defense doesn't do their job. Team sport remember 😉

You forget that there are probably at least a dozen players on the Packers who are no doubt far more emotionally invested in this situation than any player on the Vikings would be. If I were Favre, I'd be rather nervous facing the team I dragged through such a media-besmirched soap opera last year. Someone's going to be gunning for him.

ALSO, apparently there is quite a bit of locker room division on the Vikings considering Favre as a teammate. One of their players has come out lately with some pretty interesting comments.

/ from the ESPN NFC North Blog /

"You've got to go to war with these guys," Edwards said. "If you don't want to share a locker room with them, that's kind of b.s."

Favre had a locker assigned in the Jets' primary locker room but he actually used a nearby office.

"I wouldn't like it that much," Edwards said. "Everybody else has got to share a locker room. What makes you so different?"

Edwards made clear he would welcome Favre to Minnesota, saying: "We think it's definitely going to be a great addition to the team if he does come." But when host Dana Jacobson asked if he wished Favre had already signed and at least attended some offseason workouts, Edwards said: "It would have been [nice], just to see his personality, how he interacts with guys. But you know, he's a Hall of Fame quarterback, and you know most of them are pretty much prima donnas."

In all fairness, though, I do wonder if when Favre dresses in another room, is he being a diva -- or does he have some sort of weird phobia? I, for example, have a really hard time using the toilet when other people are in the bathroom. I have a strange hangup about other people hearing me bear down. I'll hold it in till everyone else leaves before doing my business. If someone walks in in the middle of it, I'll stop (unless I've hit the point of no return). When I'm on campus, I try to find the most secluded, least-used bathrooms so my chances of being interrupted are minimal. Maybe Favre just really hates being naked around other guys, or being around other naked guys.
