Please tell me you'll be posting a YouTube video of your Idol audition. (Britain's Got Talent audition videos are some of my favorites on YouTube.)

My wife actually recorded it, but i don't have the ability to transfer it to the computer. My camera is a cheapo, that doesn't have the cable hookup for it. The reason last years got posted was that Trippster came, and recorded it and posted it for me.

What's the storage device your camera uses? If it's SD card, you can transfer it to a computer. Even if it's DV, there are devices you can use to convert it.

According to this source , a Firewire card and cable for transferring mini-DV to computer costs about $20 and it transfers the video in real time (i.e., a 15 min video takes about 15 min to upload).

I'll have to check into that. I'd love to download this years vid and last years semi finals to youtube.
Maybe i can go to the "geek squad" at Best Buy and ask them how to do it.
