Omfg another one of these damn threads. We all know Brett is 2nd to only Elway with 4th quarter comebacks. But yet we are comparing a fricken 1st year starter to a hall of fame player. This shit is so damn old i say let the kid play a few years and then start doing some comparing. Until then we technically have nothing to go off of.

Yes believe it or not im sticking up for Rodgers, because i'm so sick of this same bullshit that comes into every day thread that has either Rodgers or Favre in.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Can you give your definition of 'surmountable'? What I'm looking for is something like this ... if we were within 10 points of the win with 4 minutes left, and we failed to win, that is a failed comeback attempt. Something like that.

Okay, before I go on this wild goose chase again ... lol ... if the Packers at any point within the last four minutes of the game are within 8 points of WINNING and they lose, that is considered failed comeback or missed comeback opportunity, correct?

Are we doing the Favre comparison now?

"dd80forever" wrote:

Seriously, there is no comparison. Favre is superior. However, I like seeing side by side stats and I have no desire to dig up stats on another QB. Favre is my favorite QB of all time, 2nd favorite player of all time. Rodgers is the Packers QB. My favorite team, so it just works out that way. I want to see what each did in the same scenario you are mentioning.

First off this is not a stat I made up. There are several articles stating the same thing.

http://www.onmilwaukee.com/sports/articles/gbreplay122208.html

What technically is a "failed comeback" I don't know.

But I would say 1 Score down with 4:00 or less is a good start.

Compare to Favre all you want but we all know why you are doing it. Anytime something mentions anything negative about Rodgers he is instantly compared to Brett from the same folks telling everyone else to "move on".

I love this part ...

Mason Crosby's 38-yard attempt was blocked, leaving Rodgers 0-8 this season when trailing by less than eight points with less than 5 minutes to play.

Crosby misses the FG and it counts against Rodgers, lol. That tells ya a lot about this author.

Moving forward here ...

You all know why because I just stated why and if anyone thinks differently I hope they poke their eyes out and never come back here again. Yes, I feel that strongly about it.

When I do research on something, I like to share it with others. Why make others do the same research that you did? That just doesn't make sense. This is a discussion board and it would give us something to discuss. IF my favorite QB of all time were to be, Donovman McNabb, then it'd be his numbers I'd be looking up instead of Favre. I'm not sure what is so hard to comprehend about this.

Anyhow, I'll dig this up for Aaron tonight and post the results.

IF someone else wants to do it, by all means, go for it. I'll do it regardless. I'll be looking up the scores at the 4 minute mark and if the Packers were at any point within 8 points of taking the LEAD, (ie, at 2:30 score is 20 - 27 and packers lose, that's a failed comeback attempt) and post the results.

GB Took over on Chicago's 35 with 3:03 left!

So in 3:00 A-Rod moved them what 16 yards?

Put the ball in the endzone and you don't have to worry about the field goal.

Regarding the research aspect. I knew it was right when I posted it. There are several articles about it on the internet. I knew it was fact.

If I were to say BF has the most consecutive game stating streak would you expect me to link to every game as proof?

It's fact, one I take it you were unaware of.
