Ok, this thread got me thinking:

I'm suppose to be applying to university/college soon, I have an interest in Sports Management.. And it's either that I'll apply for, or I might consider teaching (Teachers get a lot better pay in Canada)

But regarding Sports Management..

I think it's something I'd enjoy, I don't want a job that pays well but bores me to death.

But I don't know what kind of job I can get with a Sports Management degree.. it's not like I'm going to become the next GM for the packers.. or any team for that matter (pro/minor) especially because I live in Toronto/Canada (maybe I can get into the NHL)

** I simulate my Madden 06 franchise mode on my psp and get 'pumped in my psp fantasy land' after signing someone in the offseason, or while in the draft.. lame? AHAHHA sorta. **

That's really all I envision when I think 'Sports Management' and I DO realize how unrealistic it is.. But theres a university about 25-30 mins away that holds SM..

So.. what are some other opportunities I can get with a 'Sports Management' degree?

Any Ideas? I should be doing research I guess.. But I like the POVs on here. (haha)

Wow Cheesey. You never fail to get me to laugh (often at someone else's expense, but it's all good. Sorry MontanaBob).

Nickb - Anything you want. Nobody uses their degree anyways. Aren't something like 50%+ of people with college degrees doing something that's not even related to their field? Heck, I got a History degree and work as a Software Engineer. Don't be surprised if you find yourself VP of a Biotech company, or something else that you'd today think was absurd.

Become a douche bag, ask a few posters here where they went to get their degrees

Seriously, sit down and do LOT of research (if you already havent)

Pour over everything you can find, and find out what one makes you WANT to read more about it, then go with that choice

not sure if it will really help but worth a shot
