Out here in Montana a car ain't worth sh_ _ unless its' got dings and dents in it. That ups the trade-in value considerably as a shiny new vehicle is suspicious around here. Bring it to Missoula and I can probably get twice it's value for it. Take it over to Dave Smith's in Kellogg, Idaho and maybe get 3X the value.

Or.......trade the wife in out here. She could probably get a Hummer in exchange. (JK)

Even if you do not get the body work done to fix the minimal dammage call your insurance company and report it. Talk to them...

They may give you a claim for your loss in future re-sale value. Rather than pay for the repairs... This is a Win for the insurance company, and this could be a win win for you if she is going to keep the car for a long time.

Some insurance companies would rather pay off a re-sale dammage loss on "Hail Dammage" then pay for the body work on the car.

ASK QUESTIONS with your agent, and get the answers in WRITING before making a claim. The first question to ask is... Will this effect an increase in my premium over the next 5 years?

Then evaluate the dollar value?

LOL, I remember in my area, there was this huge hail storm, like it dented everyones car. There were dent repair tents everywhere for at least 2 months 🙂
