CNNSI, ESPN and NFL.com ... not one of them has him registering those totals, or even that close to it.

I am not impressed.

You don't have to be impressed.. I'm just saying I'm keeping an eye on him, especially if he was one of the Rams' competent players on defense. That's all.

You're the one that quoted and bolded those stats and now you say I'm not supposed to be impressed? You're as confusing as a damn Vikings fan telling a Packers fan to email a Bears website to fix their own errors!

:P

Best bet is watch Urlacher and Briggs instead of this ... this ... who is he again?

Good added depth for the Bears LB corps and special teams.

I'm pretty impressed. I mean, next to Briggs and Urlacher they had a pretty big gaping hole at LB. Didn't Nick Roach start at OLB quite a few times? That would be like us starting Lansanah and getting him replaced by Na'il Diggs.

They're filling up their gaping holes this season. QB, OLB, if they could find some decent safetys and wide receivers, I'd be really scared.

of course most posters on here will say its no big deal because of why? Because we once again don't sign shit in the offseason. This shows the Bears and yes heres a surprise the Lions have done good things this offseason. I say fear the Bears and Lions this year. The more the offseason goes foward the farther i think we fall behind everyone else in the division.

This pickup should help the defense this year for sure.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Why must the members of this forum always be grouped together with bullshit posts like this? It's really pissing me off. I mean, we don't charge that much for each post therefore anyone can post their own comments.

Really, everyone can. You are NOT doing ANYONE a favor by trying to speak on anyone elses behalf. They have the cashflow to post here, seriously, they do.

As for the signing. I am not impressed because I never heard of the guy and his stats don't even match up to AJ freaking Hawks so why the hell would I be worried?

When we signed Brandon Chillar you blasted that move, yet you say this move helps the Bears? It shows that YOU (not the members of this website) are bias against the Packers additions.

I just tired of moves by other teams are looked at as sucking, why can't people just notice that other teams are improving their teams as we stand pat with what we have.

What have the Packers done lately? When it comes to free agency we live in the past and all people can say is Woody. It just scares me that others are improving their teams and Ted Thompson says we have our team and they are my guys.

I find it hilarious that stats are the only way to judge a player...

Point is, the Bears had issues in depth along the linebacking core, with Hillenmeyer being questionable at best at this point.. here you have a solid linebacker that fits in their scheme and Lovie is very familiar with... whether his "numbers" impress you or not... it is a good impactful pickup at an area of weakness.

I am not comparing the move to the Packers inactivity.. looking at the roster currently, the only shallow spot may be along both lines.. D moreso than O.

HILARIOUS!!! MUWHAHAHAH HA HA HA

If he's good, great for the Bears! However, I don't know this fella and from what I seen of his stats, I'm not worried. Hopefully after the season starts i'm still not worried!!! hah 🙂

Ahhh my mistake.. another "snap" judgment based on nothing more than digits... I see carry on.

For the record, I liked the Chillar pickup at the time.. I think he still has a place as well on this roster.. best coverage backer we had on the roster last season... Is there a number that covers that...

beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
