Any man who asks to have his spleen cut out to get back on the field sooner has my respect. He always says how he feels but never goes overboard with anything. He is a very likeable player and I really hope he can do well in the new defense and stick around a few more years. =)

Yeah, not many corners are willing to drop their shoulder and take on a running back. Al's tough, and although he's not the best, he's still the man. Just don't let him get exposed.

.....There's just something about Harris, and I can't put my finger on it, but I don't like the guy.

Now Charles Woodson is another story, I respect the man and his abilities.
From my perspective, he is like the Packers version of Antoine Winfield.

Harris Rocks!

someone posted some stats he has given up very little TD on his coverage guy.

He shuts down receivers and this is what we want.

Of course you don't like him! He's usually shutting down one of your sub-par receivers and pushes them around all game and makes them earn every inch. Yes, even if he's getting run over by a MUCH bigger RB like Adrian Peterson, he's still making the guy earn every inch of it!

Yeah, I wouldn't like him if I was a Vikings fan either!

It's Harris' emotional nature that concerns me most about him. Yes, it makes him fiery on the field, but it also makes him erratic at times. Once you get in his head -- get him angry -- he's practically worthless the rest of the game.

But I love the fact that our defensemen are talking about how much Capers has them, well, talking. Communication miscues have plagued our defense the past several years, and with Capers bringing in a scheme that depends upon cloaking formations till the last possible second, communication is going to be indispensable.

I hope to see our defense driving opposing offenses nuts with all their chatter this season.

I'm confident that good coaching and proper adjustments can compensate for Harris getting overly emotional. I would be pretty upset too if I was getting beat over and over again and my coach continued to put me on an island with the guy, especially in an NFC Championship game.

Yeah, yeah, vikesrule, but you gotta love how he just gets right back up and get's playing his heart out. Hard to ask for much more then that.

I know, but it is not part of my job description to the guy any credit.

In the historical battle between Al Harris and Adrian Peterson there is only one winner. I'm not saying I like when Viking players get injured or anything ... but ... just saying. Big Al is the winner in that one.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.
