Sources inside the NFL have stated....

Everyone knows the Vikings organization is having challenges, and L.A. is waiting with open arms.

Rumor has it...

The NFL is looking at a possible solution.

Moving the Vikings to Los Angeles. With them will go the team, but not the Brand Name "Vikings"

Now here is the interesting part... They are looking at merging the The Green Bay Market with the Minneapolis Market.

The NFL figures within a 4.5 hour drive they can merge both markets into one team.

4 regular season games will be played in each city, and the pre season games will be split as well.

The team would come up with a new name that suits both markets and the uniform colors would be merged Purple, green and Yellow. Purple pants will be worn for home games in Minneapolis and Yellow or (Gold) pants for games in Green Bay. On the road... 4 games will have purple jerseys and four games will have Green jerseys.

If Home and or Away White Jerseys are ever moved from season to season.

The source, says the NFL thinks both cities and fans will embrace each other in a common goal and will fully support a merged geographic team location.

The source said the NFL thinks this would solve the challenge of the lucrative Los Angeles market not having an NFL team, and soften the loss for the Minneapolis market.

Packer fans with season tickets would retain them for games in Green Bay, and Minnesota fans would also retain theirs for games in Minneapolis.

Both communities would own the team in a 51-49 % proposal with the Green Bay owning the 51%

This has got to be some trademark RaiderPride sardonic humor (pretty creative, I have to admit), but I'm going to move it to the NFL section since it's only incidentally about the Packers. If you can provide a link that corroborates this story, I'll be happy to move it back to the Packers section.

I presume that last line stands for "I am a real son of a bitch"?

No way would this ever happen, people in Green Bay would rather welcome Farve back then have to watch there Packers play in the Metrodome.

Just think of all the pissed of fans in the Green Bay area. They don't even get access to all 8 home games as it stands now and now your talking about dropping them down to 2 games a year for season tickets. Actually it might be good because the season ticket list would drop very fast.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be šŸ™‚ (PS, Zero should charge for this)

First.. creative as hell.

Second, the NFL would lose to much if they eliminated the storied tradition of the Green Bay Packers.

Third, the waiting list is unreal now in Green Bay.. restricting more games wouldn't be a viable option..

Fourth.. IMO, they need to optimize the potential of the Dakota's, Northeastern NE to help draw more fans... football is "the" sport in Nebraska.. albeit they bleed the Cornhusker red.. there is an untapped market in the northeast corner.. along with Iowa..

Fifth.. to try an mix the two franchises strong roots would be a mistake..

The best option for the NFL is either help push the stadium deal now in MN or pull the franchise out and add a new one back in after the area realizes how much it would lose without the Vikings in town.. Move the Wilfs to LA and drop them in the NFC West.. add the Rams to the NFC North..
