Sharper pretty much said the "politically correct" response i expected.

The ONLY reason i was harsh to Sharper after he left was his bragging on how he was gonna whip the Packers.
If Favre does that, then i hope we kick thier collective butts.
Heck.........I ALWAYS hope we whip the Vikings.

Did you hear Sparky the other day? ( wssp)

He said he was tired of ex packers saying the "pc" things on the air, but when you talk to them man to man away form the lights and cameras they blast Brett..

He even said names..Freeman and Levens..

He then went on to say that he was glad Butler is honest about it all...

I didnt catch what Leroy said about it, wish I did

Look I fully appreciate what he has done for the Packers, and if he was still the q/b he would get support from me...I would defend him like I have done for years..

but now that he is no longer a Packer I have no ties to him and can say what I want got it?

Brett was wanting to come out from the tunnel in purple on Monday night, but Packers said you wont do that this year

I say good luck, I hope he doesnt get hurt, I hope he adds more distance to his records..Hope he has success, but still ends up at least one loss less then the Packers..( god damn I have said that sentence aobut 50 times in the last year)

But when it comes down to it, he wears purple so I can not root for him..

Whats the point of this thread? That people really hate Brett more than they are saying? Allegedly? Really, who gives a damn what Sharper has to say? Freeman? Not me. Freeman can thank Favre for any contract he received after his rookie contract. Obviously he was garbage after he left the Packers. Too bad the Packers kept sticking favre with these mediocre scrubs all his career or Favre might have put his records far out of reach of Manning in addition to maybe getting more than one ring.

Also, who the hell ever said that Favre was supposed to be all things to all people. He's just one guy. He's a human. He's not mother Teresa, he's not Jesus Christ. He's a football player. He always played his hardest. He was always respectful to the fans and his peers. He never went to the media and publicized contract matters or internal player drama other than one time(Javon Walker) which I didn't agree with but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. He never held out, always gave the Packers friendly deals when it came to contract negotiations.

Though he always had a good salary, he was so beloved in the mid 90's and early 2000's that he could have bent the Packers over and stuck it to them and the Pack would have paid it. He was the best and most coveted player in the NFL for around 10 years. 7 years, 47 mil in 1998. 10 years, 100 million extension in 2001 with a measly 10 million bonus designed to save the packers some caps space. A back loaded contract he never intended to finish out. Teams would have paid him almost double what the Packers gave him in 1998 and would have given him huge signing bonuses. But he was a Packer and he loved the Packers and it was the honorable thing to do and that was him. I always respected that about him. All these concessions get forgotten since most peoples attention span only lasts until the next big headline or soundbite.

He's selfish. How about Sharper? Is he selfish? He left the Pack for $$$. Problem here is Favre is on such a high pedestal that when he acts normal, he is blasted because he is not the fun loving saint that people have made him out to be.
The guy has said nothing this offseason. All the media speculation is hyping this up. The guy is taking his time, thinking about whether he wants to do this, etc. He has the right to do so.

But seriously, the way some of you guys expect so much out of him is pretty childish. He owes you nothing. You guys are dissapointed because he's not the fun loving redneck, smiling on his tractor and telling jokes that you want him to be. Get over it and grow up.
