I remember that game. We lost against the Browns. We needed a stop and the fans were chanting "Reggie, Reggie"

Then we gave up like a 70 yard TD to a back-up TE. Just going on memory here

Huh? We beat the Buccaneers something like 26 - 23

He is referring to when White's number was retired (again?) on Sept 18th 2005. (This still confuses me)

Yep, they retired the number early and put his name in the ring in '05, went to that game, they were giving out small statues of Reggie. I do believe his daughter sang the National Anthem. Thundering flyover, pretty damn emotional.

And they sucked that day, first home loss I'd been to in 10 years.

Hmm, so they did retire his number as soon as they were attempting to do with Brett... then years later put his name on the ring of honor while removing the 92 from circulation?

well last time i checked the season dont start in Oct. so how can you say they werent rushing to retire bretts number to try and keep him from playing. They wanted to retire Brett's number opening night. Now it won't be retired till the Ted Thompson administration is gone.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

The Jets game, right? I was there. One of my two times at Lambeau (the other being the loss to the Vikings in the wild-card). Lucky me.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Umm, it was within the same year. Are you REALLY going to attempt at being this petty over something so black and white? (see how i used White in there? clever huh!)

If two more years go by and no number retirement. I agree with you that it won't be done til after Ted and Mike are gone. Stop forgetting about Mike in this. He's a key reason to Brett not being a Packer in '08 and you CONTINUE to fail to acknowledge or understand this. Why? Because you hate Ted and it's the pussy way out to just blame it all on someone you already hate. (just my opinion about the pussy comment 🙂 )

Hmm something I don't agree with! Who can I blame? I know, Brett says he can't trust Ted, I'll blame Ted I already hate him!! What? Mike told Brett no? Bah, I hate Mike less than Ted, so BLAME THE TED!!

Zero actually i see what your saying about Mike but i figured he would be gone before Ted Thompson (HC's go before a gm) But so what if its same year? They wanted it done the opening game to try and shut him out you can't be that blind 😛 Retiring a number in OCT is totally different.

Specially retiring a guys number when most people knew he was going to come back.
