Seven days later and we could still use some reinforcements at nearly every position.
I can't imagine anyone being too worried about the six players that left us via free agency, but the signings haven't been spectacular either. Big money for just above average players.
I hope we take a look at one of the older guys. We've got the cap room for 2025, they're usually on short-term contracts and we can use the veteran leadership. Consistently being one of the youngest rosters gives us a lot of potential, but it'd be nice to see that potential come to fruition.
Calais Campbell was great last year and is still out there. Mike Hilton is unsigned. He's a pure slot corner, but Nate Hobbs can play outside, as well. Andre James was very good with the Raiders in 2023. Take him on on a prove-it deal.
I'm glad we didn't spent like crazy, but this team hasn't gotten a lot better this off-season and I don't think the 23rd pick, plus a couple of later round picks will change that. With the roster as it stands and the rest of the NFC North, we're heading for another .550 - .600 finish.
