I don't consider the inability to secure a regular game ticket without hoping some season-ticket holder can't make the game is anywhere remotely resembling perfection.

Chances are I'll never be able to take my family with me to see a game at Lambeau Field, and that frustrates the hell out of me.

Just go on Ebay and get some tickets. You will pay for them but I was the same way you were. I kept fretting over the cost and inconvenience of it all. Finally I just said "screw it" and did it. I wasn't going to die without visiting Lambeau. Just do it brother!

I almost did last year for the Lions game. I can't remember why it fell through, but I remember that it turned out to be fortunate for us it did.

I will eventually break down and do it -- probably later this season -- but it will always rub me the wrong way.

Would you rather be faced with the scenario that Minnesota and other franchises face with the lack of demand?

And for high demand games at the Metrodump or other venues such and Soldiers Field, Arrowhead and others.. I basically had to do the same thing as I do when I need to buy tickets.. hit the brokers..

If Lambeau was to offer a high number of individual tickets for sale, guess what, the brokers would end up with them anyway or a majority of them.

With the current system, you are the ticket holder are risky your rights to those season tickets that end up in the brokers hands if the party buying them doesn't obey the stadium rules.. in a single game scenario.. they have absolutely no leverage to all.

It isn't prefect.. but the facts are there is money in brokering tickets.. and the brokers will figure out a way to gobble up the tickets for inventory.

Thank goodness you're joking, because 7 percent body fat would set those girls up for a multitude of health problems later in life.

What bothers me about the Packers organization is that I have no viable chance of ever getting regular-season, single-gam tickets in my life. I don't think it's right that almost all tickets are season tickets, with a small minority of seats reserved for single-game tickets exclusively for residents of Brown County.

I think I should be able to buy tickets for a game online or at an official Packers box office like a fan of any other team, without being forced to purchase the inflated price of a one-time usage of some fan's season ticket.

The current system makes it virtually impossible for me to get a seat next to my wife, much less bring my kids along. So I just watch the games on TV.

A 35-year waiting list for season tickets is ridiculous, and does NOT add to the "mystique of Lambeau Field" for me. It just makes it seem like some sort of elitist good-old-boy club.

We love to brag about how every game at Lambeau Field is sold out, but in reality, the deck is stacked. We're cheating. When you have to wait half your life to get your ticket, no one is going to let go of their ticket unless they absolutely can't afford to keep it anymore. So of course tickets are always going to be sold out. In essence, every ticket is reserved for a lifetime. So it's not impressive to me.

As home to a team that loves to boast about how it's owned "by the people," Lambeau Field shouldn't be some shrine that 99% of fans who want to go never have a prayer of getting into in a reasonable manner.

P.S. Forcing lifelong season-ticket holders to sit on bleachers is silly.

Put a "Very High End Gentlemans Club" in the upper level of the atrium.

I am talking top of the line pealers! Fly them in from Vancouver or Atlanta.

This would allow the Packers to sign more free agents.

That's just it -- I don't see how that can be regarded as a positive thing.

As for the broker issue, the Packers organization could simply issue a dictum limiting the number of tickets that could be purchased by any one party, and they could forbid the resale of the tickets for profit. That would allow me to, say, bring 10 of my employees with me to Lambeau Field and give me the option of giving them the tickets for free or selling the tickets to them at cost. The Packers could even mandate that the tickets go directly to the actual ass in the seat, which might give rise to drop-shipping schemes, but those could be addressed on an individual basis.

I've read horror stories of events (e.g. Hannah Montana concerts) selling out literally within seconds of going on sale. It surely cannot be that difficult to implement controls that would prevent hundreds or thousands of tickets from being purchased by the same IP address in a matter of milliseconds. Only allow accounts to purchase a specified number of tickets per hour, for example.

The other alternative, which is used by my university theatre department: You can reserve the tickets on the phone, but you pick them up at the theatre box office on the day of the event. Sure, it's not as high tech (not that UW-L events have the same demand as Packers games, obviously), but it eliminates that sort of abuse.

Play one game a year at the local soccer club field. It has seating for a 100 and standing spots for another couple of hundred people. That ought to do the trick.

A dome would be quite nice. I don't buy into the 'real football should be played outside' stuff and I woud like a newly designed and slick stadium. Something that looks like it one with the rest of the ground, a bit like a bulch out of the ground.

Big thing is, there's so much history at Lambeau Field and with the renovation being not too long ago, you can't demolish or leave it. We're kind off stuck to it.

PS. I don't hate Lambeau, at the contrary, I love a history filled place, but I also love a dome. It's quite hypocritical of me, anyway. I've never been there and there's a big chance I won't be going there for a long time.

I wouldn't want a dome. Injuries increase dramatically on artificial turf. I think it's unfortunate that my university has elected to go with artificial turf in our new outdoor stadium.

Zero2Cool (10-Feb) : Eagles traded up for Carter, didn't they?
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Obviously he was a huge risk but getting a top 5 talent on the dline in the mid 20s is fortuitous
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : Jalen Carter falling into their lap certainly helps
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : And we could only wish to have this type of D
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : It's not like Philly has had low draft picks, but has managed to get themselves a top notch pass rush. We spend so much draft capital of D
packerfanoutwest (10-Feb) : another crap halftime show
TheKanataThrilla (10-Feb) : I think it is over, but then I think of Atlanta and want Philly to go in with the same intensity in the second half
Mucky Tundra (10-Feb) : And with a Pass Rush that might as well be on a milk cartoon and no Jaire
Martha Careful (10-Feb) : I cant help but feel good about how well the Packers D played in Philly during the playoffs
