I thought it'd be fun to see what everyone sees as the NFC North all-star team. It's a shame that colors don't work in code and spaces don't work in a regular post, so I won't show what team the players are with. I think most of you know that yourselfs, anyway.

                                                                    Adrian Peterson
                                                                          HB

As for some of the choices.

SS is a very weak position in the NFC North, it seems. Especially with the release of both Sharper and Brown.

RT is pretty weak aswell. With both Tait and Tauscher not resigned and Cherilus really having shown nothing on the right side of the Lions offensive line, I had to go with the only possibility.

At CB I took Al Harris over Winfield. I think it's nearly a tie there though.

At MLB I took the up and coming star in Henderson instead of the declining star in Urlacher. Barnett was pretty far up there aswell, though.

funny how you picked hall over quinn ... andrian doesnt need a blocker cuz he can just run over his opponents ;)

I'm hoping we get a better Oline this year; noticed you didnt pick many guys from our team.
Hoping meredith and lang show some #'s although I've seen some suggestions meredith will be a backup this year at LT and then get more playing time next year.

oh was going to ask do we get to play without the williams twins in the first minn game?

There's no way Al Harris is second best in our division either. I'd actually put Tramon Williams ahead of him. I think the Bears have a better CB with that Tillman fella.

I think that it's pretty close with Winfield. Those are the three dominating corners in my eyes in this division.

Tillman, I find decent, but I wouldn't put him up there with those three.

And for Quinn Johnson, I haven't seen him play in the pro's yet, ofcourse, but if he plays the way I expect him to play, he'll be the best FB in the division without a doubt.

Chicago's corners aren't as good as Green Bay's. Tillman and Vasher are pretty poor. I actually think D.J. Moore is going to start for them eventually.

Why is Al Harris looked upon so bad from Packer fans. Harris is clearly one of the better corners in the NFC. He's not going to intercept a lot of passes, but he does his job as well as anyone. His adjustment to this system is going to be interesting, but saying Tramon Williams is better than Al Harris is bit of a stretch from me.

Harris is more aggressive at the line and he plays the ball better. Williams picked off a lot of passes, but he got beat several times especially later in the season.

Williams is still a distant No. 3 and a heir apparent to Harris. I personally don't think GB was ever considering moving Al Harris like some sites suggested. Of course none of the credible ones did so maybe that's why nothing happened.

I basically agree with everything you've got down there.

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Adrian Peterson
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Greg Jennings
WR: Donald Driver
TE: Greg Olsen

I'd play a three receiver set. Kind of a cop-out, but nobody uses a FB much anyways.

I agree with your offensive line picks although I'd cheat a little and take Orlando Pace and play him at right tackle.

Not enough PT on Cherilus, Williams, and whomever GB plays there. My guess is T.J. Lang or Breno.

I agree with your defensive line. Those four might form the best talent any division would have if you take the four best from one division.

I also agree with your linebackers. I would take E.J. Henderson over Urlacher too.

Briggs is the best linebacker in the division by far in my view.

Secondary we differ a bit....

I'd take Collins and Woodson from Green Bay.

I'd take Antoine Winfield from Minnesota because he's better in run support that Al Harris.

I'd probably cheet again and take Daniel Manning and play him at SS.

Of the four expected starters, Bigby is probably the best and that's saying a lot about the lack of talent at that position.

Al Harris is good, but he's getting burned quite often. My knock on him is this. All someone has to do is get him pissed off and he loses his game. Take the two biggest slump games he's had. What was consistent? Plax got into his head. Owens got into his head. Yes, both are very good WR, but it's happened throughout his tenure here.

When he keeps is cool, he's a force. Once he loses his temper, he's lost it all. And it's not Packers fans, it was just my observation and I feel that Tillman is better. That doesn't mean all Packers fans feel the same way. Thank you for the flattery, but not necessary. 🙂 (ps, the check is in the mail!)

That's my biggest problem with Harris too. He doesn't know how to play angry, or at least he doesn't know how to properly channel his rage. Once a player or official pisses him off, you might as well bench him for the rest of the game. The man can singlehandedly lose you a game if you aren't careful.

Quite a while ago. He's playing for the Saints now.

I like that you went this in-depth on my post Porky.

When you're going to slide players over, I agree, most likely Pace will be the best option at RT. Although I'd take Madieu Williams over Daniel Manning at the SS position if you're going to start FS'.

As for the FB. When Quinn starts running all over Greenway and Henderson, he'll be important enough to put him in there. :thumbright:
