While Minnesota’s win eased some pressure, public scrutiny hiked in Detroit and Chicago after Week 4. It was an exuberant evening in Green Bay last night, even without fans at Lambeau Field, as the Green Bay Packers rolled to a 30-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons . Despite being short-handed at wide receiver, the Green Bay offense had no trouble moving the ball, utilizing running backs and tight ends in the passing game. The win moved the Packers to 4-0 heading into an off week and helped them to stand alone at the top of the divisional standings.
Around the NFC North, it was a tale of firsts this past weekend. Chicago lost its first game of the 2020 campaign in a head-scratching offensive performance. Meanwhile, Minnesota logged its first victory of the season behind a much improved offense of its own, one that ultimately cost Houston Texans Head Coach Bill O’Brien his job. The Vikings ’ victory helped take the pressure off of Mike Zimmer for at least one week, but left Green Bay as the only NFC North team without any of sort of early-season coaching drama.
