The Texas defense concerns me. MLF will have to be in his bag all game long. The weather shouldn't be an issue. Looks like it will be 72 degrees but windy. Perhaps that will favor Jacobs and Wilson on the ground. Maybe some well timed screens with blockers creating some seams to run in.

The Texans have a number of players injured or out in their LB+Secondary. Sounds like they could be ripe for the picking on play action.

1. I think the Packers will deploy a lot of three safety defensive schemes with Bullard playing a lot of slot coverage.
2. I can't help but think we want to take the air out of the ball and do a lot of running and short play action passes. I expect Craft to have a very strong game.
3. I hope it's cold.
Go Packers!!!!

Packers are giving 2.5pts , with the over/under set at 47.5pts.
Doesn't look like weather will be a factor, sunshine - low 70's at kickoff, the last I saw.
Possessions may be at a premium as I expect both teams to try and shorten the game by pounding the ball.
This game will be won by the team who can control the clock and wins the turnover battle.
I agree with WPR, going to be a close battle.
Bet The Texans plus the 2-1/2 points, but bet The Packers on the moneyline while taking the over.
Packers 28
Texans 27.
$2 bet pays $52
I have confidence The Packers will win, so I'm also taking The Packers, giving The 2-1/2 , betting the moneyline, and taking the over. That way if The Packers win by 3 or more , a $2 bet pays $4.60 which will cover my 1st bet.
BOOK IT! GO PACK GO
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Looks like the Texans will be missing 5 starters on defense, which based on PFF grades, the players they're missing are mostly graded high at stopping the run.

So the Packers offense should be able to run on their defense.

Hopefully the Packers don't get too pass happy, as the Texans can have one hell of a pass rush.

On defense, I think the key is stopping Tank Dell. Dell is a very hot/cold receiver. When Dell is on he's a very dynamic receiver. When he's off, he can be middling. With Collins out and on the road, the Texans could use a big game from a streaky player to get their offense going.

That game was so frustrating to watch. It is a relief to come away with a win after suffering through watching so many mistakes. What a storybook ending with the new kicker saving the day.

GB couldn't get out of their way but still picked up the W against an AFC contender.

Going into this game, teams with a -3 turnover differential were 0-13

Since 2000, the win rate with a -3 differential are 82-753-2 (9.8% win rate)

Packers did it today.

However, Cowboys did it to Pittsburgh 2 weeks ago, Pittsburgh’s lone turnover came on their lateral play to end the game

And season long (probably due to their run heavy games with Willis at QB), the Packers season pass to run ratio was 48.7%.

We got away with one there…

For the Packers, there was a plethora of bonehead decisions by the players
- Poor decision making an execution by Love on numerous occasions
- Penalties
- A drop here and there
- Moronic decisions and punt returns

I can't believe they are coached to do those things so I will put blame squarely on the players.

But the biggest bonehead decision was made by the Texan coaches... to throw the ball on third and 11, in the final two minutes
The decision was a poor one for a number of reasons. The route called wouldn't even have gotten the first down shouldn't have been completed. Further the player was heading out of bounds which would've stopped the clock making it fourth and two. In either case, completion or in completion, the Packers were able to maintain one time out going into the drive with 1:44 after the kickoff.
Accordingly, the Packers could use the middle of the field but especially so since they had a timeout in their pocket making it much more difficult for the Texan defense.

Go Packers!!!!

Sometimes you have to win ugly.
GB had more first downs.
3rd down conversions.
Total yards.
Total Yards per play.
Passing yards.
Completions.
Passing Yards per play.
Stacked Houston more.
Red zone conversions.

The running game was close enough. While the Texans had 142 rushing yards it took them 33 attempts to get it. Packers had only 82 yards on 20 attempts. One of the big play staples for the Packers is the WR sweeps. 3 attempts for -5 yards. Even with a depleted defense it wasn't working for GB. Best to move on. Teams are scouting it so they will have to shelve it for now.

The defense was dominate.
The "Great" Stroud only had 86 yards passing. 86!
His QB rating is over 100. Today- 58.8! We talk about MLF being in his bag dialing up plays for the offense. Today it was Hafley's schemes that harassed Stroud all day long.

The Packers dominated so much that they tried to give the game away. The offense gave up 16 points and yet the Packers STILL won. Without those mistakes they would have won by 30. At least 20.

I am very pleased and proud of the effort today.

I can't believe we held a team under 100 yards PASSING. I can't even freaking do that in Madden 25.

Pretty incredible to do that to a up and coming QB like Stroud.

Eye-popping stat: With starting CB Kamari Lassiter out, D'Angelo Ross replaced him and allowed a passer rating of 158.3 when targeted for 95 yards and a touchdown. Yes, that's a perfect passer rating.

ESPN

Not all of this is on Ross. When Love was on, he had some outstanding passes.
