I say WR Romeo Doubs for ED Nick Herbig. Herbig has hamstring injury but I think the trade helps both teams. Herbig is good on rushing the passer, he's young (22) and Steelers get a WR who wants ton of targets. Let's face it, George Pickens won't get 2nd contract with Steelers.

What trade do you think is reasonable and possible?

Pitt has an extra year on the Herbig contract so they may want a little more in the exchange. A 6th maybe.

Before the season I thought our ED were just fine. So far they have been a disappointing.

Go for it.

If so, I think you'd need some power edges, which is what the Packers already have.

Also, I like the Packers being deep at WR

Jaguars C Mitch Morse

At 32 years old, Morse might only be an average starting Center now, but based on PFF grades, average starter would be a huge upgrade.

Of the 30 Centers with at least 200 snaps this season, PFF graded Myers to be #29 overall, 15th in pass protection and #29th in run blocking. (Also Gute unwisely choose Myers one pick before Creed Humphrey whom has been the best Center). Meanwhile of those 30, is Morse is #13 overall, #7 in pass blocking and 17th in run blocking.

Morse was released this off-season by the Bills, but that was a Cap Salary release, Morse signed a two year deal with the Jaguars, Morse got his signing bonus already, so what's left is basically $1.75 for 2024 and $4.55 for 2025 (of which $1.5 is guaranteed). And give the Packers an extra year to figure out what they're going to do after Myers, unless they already planned to move Jenkins there full-time, and/or they think rookie C Monk will be ready to start next year.

But the Jaguars might start rebuilding, and I wonder if a 6th and OT Dillard would get the job done... probably not, as they may not want Dillard and might want more for a cheap good vet. Heck, maybe Morse for Myers and a 6th, they get a young player they can re-sign.

Double trade, since Jets are going all in and liking guys that have played with Rodgers

Packers trade a 5th (or 6th) round pick for Jaguars starting C Mitch Morse

Packers then trade C Josh Myers for the Jets 5th (or 6th) round pick.

Myers would be a backup for the Jets, BUT it seems like their best OL, RG Alijah Vera-Tucker gets a serious injury every year. And right now the Jets only have two interior OL backups, in OG/Cs Xavier Newman and former Packer Jake Hanson and they're both horrible.

Myers would be their #6 and top OL backup by leaps and bounds.

Also not a trade, but if the CBs continue to have issues, consider bringing in veteran FA Patrick Peterson, he's past his prime, but he still might be the 2nd best CB on this roster behind only Alexander. He's said he's waiting for a contender to be interested.

So if the Raiders are potential sellers, perhaps acquire the good Carlson.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?
