1. I am heartened and impressed by the sportsmanship shown by our Olympic women at the games. Win or lose the women almost without exception seem to be gracious and classy. Many of the men are as well, but there is bit to much chest pounding and "meism" IMHO
2. The relay events are so much more fun to root for our athletes.
3. Scottie Scheffler's (sp?) emotional reaction to winning the gold made many of us cry.
4. What is with the American men that they can pass a baton or stay in the zone on the 4x100 meter MY GOODNESS, WHAT NINNIES!!!
5. I think the younger former athletes have done a terrific job as color people/analysts
6. Why is a guy with a British accent the play by play guy for track and field?
7. Judged events are never as good as timed or measured events...to much discretion and hanky-panky IMO To that end, I felt awful for both of the Romanian gymnasts on the floor exercise. One got penalized for stepping out (and she didn't.) On the appeal, she was told to pound sand. Then the American appeals and goes from 5th to 3rd replacing the other Romanian who though she had won a bronze medal... heartbreaking.
