I like stories from the old days. It's funny how "facts" get a little fuzzy as time moves on and a person's memory fades just a tad.
I watched my dad retell an incident over and over. As he aged it morphed "just a bit". The end version bore little resemblance to the actual event. He had somewhat slowly changed it to reflect his personality and the point he was trying to make. What I found most humorous was that by the end he had forgotten that I was there too. I never felt the need to try and correct him or his faulty memory.
More than a few players liked to embellish just a tad. It makes for memorable interviews and speeches.
