I really don't like the whole twitter thing for just everyday people, but I like celebrities/reporters doing it. It's a constant feed of news and updates that are somewhat entertaining. I'm following a couple of Packer sites/reporters.

People that are funny, entertaining, or informative are really the only people I follow.

Well now you can make comments like that to all your friends at once.

besides, a well written story/opinion/etc is usually started with a simple premise (twit) and expanded to a full paragraph, chapter, or even a book. right?

I've never Twittered.. but thanks to this thread, I may join up.. if only to follow a few people/organizations.

I understand peoples disdain for all the social networking sites.. And at times I'm not a huge fan of them myself. But I will give them credit where credit is due: They given me SOO many opportunities to create/recreate/strengthen relationships where I normally wouldn't have had those opportunities. The awesomely strong bond I now have with my second youngest sister, I have thanks to MySpace. The reconnection to MANY very close high school friends, I give thanks to FaceBook.

If someone else decides to 'abuse' their social networking site page, then I just stop going there. There, I have no problem, what-so-ever.
