Dave likes to bitch. More accurately, he opts to slow the homerism. I find it at once mostly humorous and refreshing.
I personally like his version of fandom, to a great degree. He extricates so much out of our fellow fans oponions with so many of his opinions.

He has been doing this since 2008.

Pretty good run, if you ask me, while I reflect upon those that left us.

You just go, Dave... even though you still don't know your ass from a hole in the ground.

I don't see it as homer'ism that's being slowed. No, sir, no. I see it as HOPE for a better future being slowed. It is OPTIMISM that is being slowed. That does not sit well with me. Life is short, it is REALLY damn short. It's my personal belief we should give the benefit of doubt.

You are correct, he does love to bitch. It's probably a mechanism to prevent one from getting too high and getting hurt.

Let's just not mistake his self handicapping as some magnanimous gesture. It is just how he chooses to be a fan. And while I disagree with it (as a lifestyle) -- I think we need ALL flavors of fans. Because as you astutely pointed out. It fosters (see what I did there?) discussion!!

Dave, you do you do buddy!!

Although I disagree with dhazer often, I enjoy his posts and I am very glad he posts regularly.

If we only read or listen to people we agree with, we get stale. When we avoid reading or listening to opinions we do not share, we place ourselves in echo chambers and self-feeding loops, to the detriment of constructive thinking and dialogue.

Too much of the media today does not present counter argument/positions and has resulted in polarization, hate, and radical policy positions politically on both sides.

We need to read and listen to each other to understand each other's position and react to it appropriately and with consideration....something I don't always do.
Go Packers!!!!

As far as the new DC we know plenty, he has a losing record as a head coach (FACTS Like that reference NonStop lol) His biggest claim to fame is being a CB coach and a co-defensive coordinator. I see the news bragging up the whole 7th-ranked passing defense but failed to mention defense was 32th in the nation in Points allowed per game. Then in 22 his defensive rankings were 46th in passing and 101st in scoring defense and then 2023 they improved to 96th in scoring defense. Like i have stated in other posts, there are no stats that actually make this look like a good hire.

I couldn't really give a rats ass about college stats because it does not transfer to NFL. The game is different. There's more teams. There's more players on the roster. The hash marks are different. You just cannot look at College stats and think you can project what will happen in the NFL. It's just silly.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
