Someone else mentioned this. The 49ers look ripe for the slaughter on the right side.

they’re tight ends are spectacular at blocking. Their wide receivers block well, which is why they run well.

The struggle is likely going to be on the other side of the ball, facing Chase and Bosa at defensive ends

Joe Barry was Assistant head coach & linebackers coach on Rams 2017-2020. The Rams went 3 - 5 vs 49ers during that span and lost the last four.

In other words, Kyle Shanahan normally destroys this defensive scheme. Probably because it's set up to limit the pass and Shanahan is fine with that as he'll keep running the ball down the throats of the light boxes, especially now that he has McCaffrey.

I'm thinking they need to say scheme the normal system, Shanahan is too good against it and keep mixing it up all game long. But certainly having a great pass rusher up against their RT, as they lost their starting RT to FA, and the new guy just isn't as good.

Gonna need to blitz some here, weather it's run blitz or normal blitz and tackle, as 49ers receivers are great at breaking a tackle and getting extra yardage.

49ers defense, slowing that DL will be tough, and they got arguably the best LB in the NFL.

On the 49ers defenses, I looked at them earlier and saw some surprising bad run defense numbers against them, and looked into it, at least at that time and looked like they were running verison of the "Wide 9" at that time, which extremely helps your edge rushers, but hurts your run defense.

The "Wide 9" basically spreads your DEs out far wide, giving them a great one on one pass rushing angle vs the OT and meaning you basically can't get an edge, but you can go up the middle better. But they're betting their defensive front is so talented that you can't continue to run on them.

That's the secret to beating the 49ers defense, figuring out how, despite their talent, you keep running it on them, as they have too many good pass rushers to keep passing the ball all game.

Fred Warner isn't taking the Packers lightly:

"Jordan Love played the game of his life in his playoff debut. He's been phenomenal down the stretch.

It's gonna be a huge test for us this weekend. I'm not taking the Packers lightly. The Cowboys must've taken the Packers lightly.

We are going to have to put together a great week of preparation. I said from the start, whoever gotta come into Levi's, bring em on.

It's gonna be such an electric atmosphere, such a fun atmosphere to be a part of. It's gonna be one for the ages."

Gripping development? There was on and off rain in Brock Purdy’s two worst games in terms of completion percentage — last season’s playoff opener vs. Seattle and Sunday’s loss to the Browns.

Cracks in the 49ers' playoff machine? Yes, but you have to squint to find them.

The 49ers already have been anointed 9.5-point favorites, according to BetMGM, and with a star-filled roster that rivals their early 1990s squads, they might be the favorites as long as they’re in the playoffs.

Are they infallible? Well, no. In examining their four regular-season losses — we’re not counting the meaningless Week 18 game against the Los Angeles Rams — we’ve detected some cracks in their playoff machin

A good read.
