While I'm not currently as concerned as I was prior to the draft, I wouldn't be upset to see the team pick up someone like Jones - I'd rather they wait until he gets cut, though. Like Porky said, if you can upgrade your team, go for it.

I'll be interested to see what other players shake loose after this draft.

I say heck no to OT Levi Jones... if he was insurance the Bengals wouldn't be thinking about cutting him. He's over the hill and injury prone...

Teams just plain don't cut good OT unless something happens... and the thing happening with Jones is he wants too much money when he can't stay on the field...

Depends on how much money it would cost. I'd be okay with bringing him in if he were willing to play for less money then he has been getting. That's a big if though.

Seriously guys? He had an injury and was about to be getting paid big money...he was a liability.
The Bengals are taking just as big of a chance letting him go and counting on a rookie OT than we would be if we picked him up.

The guy hasn't played 16 games in a regular season since 2004... and the guy has only started 60.4166667 % of the time in the last 3 seasons. Do you want to sign a guy that is looking for a big starter deal but just got cut by a not so good team and who only started for them a little over 60% of the time in the last 3 years....

Chances are he'll come at a reasonable price. I never see any reason not to go after players and give them at least a shot at competing at a position that the Packers are really thin at. Jones probably could beat out anybody else on the roster at RT. He'd certainly be in the running assuming he's healthy of course.
