The Minister of Defense will air on ESPN on Wed Dec 13 at 8 pm CST.
The highly anticipated 30 for 30, The Minister of Defense, premieres this Wednesday on ESPN. The film provides a deeper look into the life and career of NFL Hall of Famer Reggie White, including never-before-seen footage from an interview filmed in 2004 just two months before his untimely death at age 43.
“The film chronicles both White’s incredible dominance as one of the best defensive players ever and his spiritual journey as an ordained evangelical minister who questioned his blind faith toward the end of his life,” ESPN said in a press release .
Viewers can also expect to see interviews with White’s teammates from both the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers as Reggie’s son Jeremy looks to gain more of an understanding of his father’s complex life. ESPN shared a teaser for the long-awaited film across their social media platforms last week.
