This might not be the appropriate thread, but when I tried to add a new thread, the system nixed it.When you have an older team, injuries should be more prevalent. With the youngest team in the NFL, we should not have as many injuries.
Yes
Concussions are unavoidable.
Broken bones are unavoidable (including lisfranc).
Contusions....are unavoidable
Pulls, strains, and other soft tissues should largely be avoidable, especially with a younger team.
I am going to go 'there'...
*I think our training staff and stretching routines must be wrong or poorly adhered to AND/OR
*I think we are soft (as our run blocking would further testify)
Further if we were 5-2, these guys would be playing as they would find a way to tough it out. But I believe the mentality of some players is
"I am not 100% and we aren't good, so why should I lay it out there"I have seen it at a high school level often on my husband's teams and son's teams. There are guys who just won't play though much pain and there are others who are warriors...and I think I am seeing that here. I think our pansy to warrior ratio is way too high.
Call me a bitch if you'd like...I don't care....but I don't like what I am seeing.
