Yeah it was definitely risky move but MLF was comfortable winning or losing this game on attacking and being aggressive vs just playing the odds. Sends a message to the young guys: go down swinging. And not to go full nerdmann but I think MLF wanted to avoid OT at that point with a Thursday game looming.

Also, I know us fans would hate it, but if the NFL seriously wanted to care about players Safety, they would either get rid of overtime... that or turn it into some sort of back and forth goal line stand. Like penalty kicks and soccer, but the football version, so being forced to go for two until the teams aren't tied. Just saying.

As far as I'm concerned, the NFL should just copy the college model and start at the 50 or 40 yard line of the defending team and use a similar ruleset. If it's a playoff game, make 2 pt conversions mandatory after two series for each team or something.

I don't fully understand why not, as if it's a good idea, then it's a good idea.

I also don't know how they is going to play out with the NFL and XFL having the agreement to test stuff out, in theory, XFL was supposed to be NFL testing grounds. Of course the NFL kinda skipped that step with the new kickoff rule (which I still say was a PR move to get people to stop talking about turf fields).

Also, with the XFL and USFL merging, I don't know how that's going to work moving forward, but it also sounded like the public doesn't known how they're merging yet.

There were a few other rule changes that came from other sources but I can't think of them right now.

Yeah, they have stolen ideas from the original USFL and original XFL, but I believe that was AFTER driving them into the ground and out of business.

I didn't say it was smart, and maybe not the older of yesterday, but I believe the likes of Peter King suggested the NFL current leaders have too much ego to take ideas from other products that are actively working.

Basically they have more ego than brains.
