Raiders locking Edge Rusher Chandler Jones out of the building?

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/chandler-jones-deletes-social-media-posts-slamming-raiders

Jones shared screenshots of text messages that appear to be addressed to head coach Josh McDaniels asking if the team brought him to Vegas to “play with me” and saying it is not right to make him work out at a local gym rather than at the team’s facility. In other posts, Jones wrote that the team is trying to “provoke” him by barring him from the facility and claims that someone from the team reached out to the mother of his child despite the lack of a current relationship between him and the woman.

Jones continued by saying he wants to speak to Antonio Brown and Aldon Smith about their problems with the Raiders and suggesting that he isn’t interested in playing for McDaniels or General Manager Dave Ziegler.

“Fuck it, I don’t wanna play for the Raiders if that’s my HC or GM,” Jones wrote.

Just heard about this a little bit ago and sounds like they didn't allow any players in the building. Kind of a take time off before the long season kind of deal or work/life balance.

But I think most suggest (for normal people, not professional athletes) at least two days of rest per week. Let the muscles recover and rebuild.

But some athletes, like AJ Hawk, demand to do it daily (and some even multiply times a day). Hey, if it works for them.

That being said, I also know players/teams have a battle over injuries. If it happens in team property, then the team is responsible to play the contract. If it doesn't happen in team property, then they can often get out of most of the contract.

But yeah, if it's everyone, then IMO this is a different story, than if it's just him, either way, he doesn't seem happy with the Raiders right now l.

Though some are speculating lots of Raiders veterans won't be happy if they struggle again, especially since they sort of felt like the team got worse with controversial moves instead of getting better.

I can see Gary as the type who will be in the gym 7 days a week. He's a beast.

And now you know who our illustrious poster is. :)

Beast told me to "shh".

Are you up to speed now?

Chandler Jones says Raiders sent Las Vegas Crisis Response Team to his home
By Josh Alper
Published September 7, 2023 07:10 AM

Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said on Wednesday that the team and defensive end Chandler Jones were dealing with “a personal situation and a private matter” when asked about Jones slamming the team on social media earlier this week, but Jones opted to go public again later in the day.

In posts to his Instagram account that have since been deleted, Jones showed the badge of a member of Las Vegas’ Crisis Response Team that he said the Raiders sent to his home. He said Dr. Heather Thanepohn, who is the clinical program manager of the CRT, told him he needed to come with them because he was “in danger.”

Jones also shared screenshots he said are texts from August with McDaniels that suggest the issues between Jones and the team have been going on for some time. Jones said he won’t post anything else if the Raiders let him play in Sunday’s game against the Broncos and asked why no one has asked the team why they have sent him away from the team.

The Raiders still list Jones as a starter on their depth chart, but it’s clear that there’s a lot unknown about what’s going on between Jones and the team. There may also be reason for concern about Jones’ well-being and making sure he’s healthy is the most significant issue for all involved to deal with at the moment.

Something odd is still going on between Jones and the Raiders

https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/chandler-jones-continues-social-media-criticism-of-raiders

Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones has been out of the facility and out for at least the first two games of the season for what have been deemed personal reasons, as he continues to make strange criticisms of the team on social media.

In his latest string of tweets, Jones directed his ire at Raiders owner Mark Davis.

“I wish mark Davis told the ppl why I really can’t play,” Jones wrote. “I think I know why , but I want y’all to ask him. Only reason I’m here because the raiders still haven’t contacted me or a rep of mine. I’ll let him say it to the public not me lmao. I’ve made over 100M, not money at all, I just wanna play Sunday.. well I’m actually missing another game and losing money. I wish I could play with my brothers, but marky mark is holding a huge secret that only I know! That’s why I was asking for my protection sorry if I sound scared because I’m not lol, when I found out I was lol. I won’t tell I just wanna play, but if I don’t play, I tell EVERYONE. Not about football anymore brother, let him tell you what he’s been doing lol. He can’t cut me, I have proof of his reps saying I’m under contract, and they want me on the team.. but not playing right now. Lol.”

The Raiders have declined to comment publicly about the issues with Jones. He remains on their 53-player roster.

packerfanoutwest (10m) : bs on flexing the game....they do it for the $$league$$, not the hometown fans
Zero2Cool (56m) : I see what you did there Mucky

Zero2Cool (1h) : LUKE MUSGRAVE PLAYING TONIGHT~!~~~~WOWHOAAOHAOAA yah
Zero2Cool (2h) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (2h) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (3h) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (3h) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (3h) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (3h) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (3h) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (3h) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (3h) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (3h) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (3h) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (3h) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
beast (3h) : We already have told you... if Packers lose all their games (they won't, but if they did), and Buccaneers and Falcons win all theirs
Zero2Cool (3h) : I posted it in that Packers and 1 seed thread
Zero2Cool (3h) : I literally just said it.
packerfanoutwest (4h) : show us a scenario where Pack don't get in? bet you can't
Zero2Cool (4h) : Falcons, Buccaneers would need to win final two games.
Zero2Cool (4h) : Yes, if they win one of three, they are lock. If they lose out, they can be eliminated.
packerfanoutwest (4h) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
Zero2Cool (4h) : Packers should get in. I just hope it's not 7th seed. Feels dirty.
packerfanoutwest (4h) : If packers lose out, no matter what, they are in
packerfanoutwest (4h) : both teams can not male the playoffs....falcon hold the tie breaker
packerfanoutwest (4h) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (4h) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (4h) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (4h) : Packers will get in
beast (4h) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
packerfanoutwest (4h) : they still are in the playoffs
packerfanoutwest (4h) : If Packers lose the remaining games,,,,at 10-7
Zero2Cool (6h) : We can say it. We don't play.
Mucky Tundra (7h) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (7h) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (7h) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (8h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (17h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (17h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (18h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (21h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
