This dudehttps://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/the-lass-word-packers-give-opportunity-to-a-knucklehead-710  can ball. Let's hope he can pull it together. Malcontent.

I like him on the field tho. Former 5 star recruit at Edge.

I think Cox will be among the top 53 players, even if they try to sneak him to the PS.

Note that Cox got kicked off Georgia and Florida for a lot more reasons than the article listed. As clearly less talented players got in trouble for same thing and they did not get kicked off. But the public that were there don't seem to be publicly talking, and I don't think anyone else knows the truth. The little amount that has been made public, at minimum, he rubbed a hell lot of people the wrong way.

Cox himself tried to explain it as others don't understand his competitive nature (which I assume to means just how competitive he is), and that's what rubs people the wrong way.

But a lot of players are competitive as hell and don't get kicked off two SEC teams (especially Florida which has a reputation of allowing a good bit, though that reputation comes from when a different head coach was in charge).

Reminds me of when DT Mike Daniels would be screaming like hell in the locker room after any and all team losses,  supposedly upset some.

So I don't think it's just his competitive nature, but maybe his attitude and demeanor and how he interacts with others when that competitive nature takes over and especially when he doesn't get his desired results. I think the coaches felt it negatively impacted those around him. But this is a bunch of guessing as no one will come out and directly bluntly say anything.

My guess is the kid puts a freaking ton of pressure on himself to preform at the highest levels of everything he does, and when he doesn't live up to his standards or he loses, sometimes things get too negative or too something that's seen as a negative to coaches.

He's worth a roll of the dice.
The question is how many Edge rushers do we keep?
If healthy we have Gary, Preston, LVN for sure.
More than likely will be Enagbare.
Fighting for the last spot(s) are Hamilton, Hollins and Garvin.
Then comes Cox.
No shot is Sheshawn Banks. He would have to impress the heck out of everyone to get bumped up.
Last is PS under the international rules Kenneth Odumegwu.

According to Ourlads the Packers had 5 Edge rushers on 9-1-22. Gary, Preston, Enagbare, Garvin and Tipa Galeai.

I am going to assume Gary starts the year on the PUP. That means 2 of the 3 Hollins, Hamilton and Garvin will make the roster for 6 weeks. Hollins is probable. Garvin is possible. Hamilton probably not. Cox will fit right in with Garvin. Cox will have to learn the system. Garvin is a couple of years ahead of him.

I'd be OK with just about anyone on 90 man roster. It's one of ninety. Give them a chance.

Especially if Van Ness is helping out the DL at 3 tech at times like has seemingly been discussed by Kenny Clark.

I think everyone will agree the top 4 OLB are Gary, Preston, Van Ness and Enagbare. But I disagree with your fighting for #5 spot.

I think #5 spot is a battle between Hollins and Cox. If all things were equal, Hollins would easily win, but he's on a one year veterans contract without much upside potential, where Cox (officially on a 3 year deal) effective has to wait 4 years until he can get to the veterans contracts and has more development potential.

But I think the Packers could potentially keep six with both Hollins and Cox. Though Garvin would get some consideration for his STs play. And they might consider trying to sneak Cox to the PS.

Cox is a Low risk, High reward player.

Football talent is the least of his worries.

His biggest challenge is to prove to The Packers he has GROWN up.
He proved he wasn't a Team player in College.
Could be a little dose of reality is all he needs..

Pretty sure The Internatonal players are not counted against the 90 man roster.
Also they are not counted as a P.S  player.
That gives them a full year of development without hurting The Teams they have been assigned to .
They are only counted if they get promoted to the 53 man roster.
Considering The Packers guy has never played any type of organized football,  it would be a miracle he would ever be considered to play on the 53.

And one of those two played on an under 19 years old American football team in Europe, before transfering to the US for his Senior year and played college ball in the SEC. So he wasn't exactly new to football after playing it (I believe) 7 years (including SEC) before getting an International Spot. And the other one spent four years on NFL PS teams before making it.

beast (8h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (8h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (18h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (18h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (20h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (21h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22h) : Thank you
wpr (22h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (22h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (22h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (23h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (23h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (23h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (23h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
