This Jaxon Smith-Njigba guy didn't even play much last season. And when he did he wasn't effective. Apparently he missed the brunt of the season from ... oh you will LOVE this one ... hamstring injury? Do we really wanna burn up 13th overall on a hamstring injury WR? Do we not have enough soft tissue injuries already? I think Sammy Watkins and Christian Watson both missed games from hamstring injuries.

And you're saying that Watson and Doubs arent as good as Olave and Wilson and that Njigba wouldn't thrive thanks to those two? Oh ye of little faith! 🤔😉

Got a lot of stats even though those two other guys got theirs. Something to be said for that.

I expect them to trade down, but if they make a selection, there's likelihood it might be a T. Thing is, they got Cobe Jones and Rasheed Walker, maybe the team's not optimistic about those two.

Also not sure if they're thinking of trading Bakhtiari. But if they're thinking of that, a T would be more likely.

I don't think WR at 13 is ideal for Packers. If they take WR, I hope to be wrong. (Usually, I am when it comes to draft analysis before draft!)

It worked with Jennings/Jones/Nelson as the boundary guys and Cobb in the slot. Though Cobb was a late 2nd round pick, so maybe that isn't a great example.

Edit: I just read Kevin's post about the hamstring injury. At 13 that's gonna be a hard no from me.

I'm feeling this Jaxon kid is inevitible and trying to talk myself into it. I see he was the Rose Bowl MVP so I went hmm how he do in that game? It was still over a year ago, but Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson did not play in that game and Jaxon still lit it up.

ProFootballFocus has less than 15 WR's in the top 100.

With that said, I think Johnson, Tillman, Rice and Mingo fit what Gute likes. I think Rice would SO be a Ted Thompson type WR. For the Packers scheme, I like Mingo as he's a large slot WR and this scheme usually has a good large slot WR or receiving TE, I'm expecting Gute to grab a receiver (WR or TE) that can play the middle of the field well.

Wilson might be a top 100 player when healthy, but he couldn't stay healthy in college and plays a very physical style of football, so I think he'll drop a good bit due to lack of available in college.
