There's been a lot of chatter about the Packers taking a WR in the first round. This isn't really anything new. We hear this almost every single year. HOWEVER, the narrative around it this year is it will done in spite of Aaron Rodgers. Pretty pathetic, isn't it?
Listen, the Packers had an elite QB that get Tier 1 production from Tier 2 talent at skill positions. Did they put to much on their QB? We can debate that and even probably come to an agreement.
When Rodgers took over in 2008 he had Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson (rookie), James Jones and Jermichael Finley (rookie). That's not a bad set of targets there. Coincidently, the pick for Jordy Nelson was the ... wait for it ... JETS 2nd round pick.
In 2023 Jordan Love currently has Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Samori Toure, Bo Melton and Josiah Deguara.
So it just seems logical they'll add a WR and TE, right?
