The Packers are officially entering the Jordan Love era, as Green Bay finally agreed to a reported trade sending Aaron Rodgers to the Jets. Love, who is entering his fourth season, will take over as a starting quarterback for the first time in his career.
The process is a big boost of confidence for Love, as the team clearly believes he is ready to take over. Yet, how Love will perform remains to be seen, and one former player isn’t sold on the quarterback being able to properly replace Rodgers.
Richard Sherman said on his podcast that Packers’ rivals are happy that Rodgers is out in favor of Love.
“I guarantee you every NFL North team is excited to see Jordan Love,” he said. “I guarantee it Green Bay Packers, nobody will fear you going forward.”
