This is a complete assumption on my part, but I'm wondering if Gute is partly trying to load up on comp picks for next year, which is something Ted Thompson seemed to do, and this would be a good year for it as Packers as losing so many FAs.

If this is the case, then Gute would be targeting to sign their own and released players as they don't count against the Comp formula.

So just trying to create a list of released players.

Note, the editor is probably going to make this look horrible with all the copying and pasting.

QB Matt Ryan (projected to be released, played under LaFleaur)
 QB Marcus Mariota

WR Adam Thielen (Gute said he wanted a vet WR for the youngsters to bounce ideas off of)

WR Robbie Anderson
RB J.D. McKissic RB Chase Edwards
LT Taylor Lewan (used to be very good, but injuries and.has talked about retirement, played under LaFleaur)
C Graham GlasgowC Pat ElfleinG Cru SamiaG Graham Glasgow
C Ben Jones (played under LaFleaur, pretty good)
C Brett Toth
G Gabe Jackson C Rodney Hudson (used to be very good)
DT Quinton Jefferson
DE/DT Calais Campbell OLB Leonard Floyd
OLB Markus Golden
LB Bobby Wagner (pretty good) LB Damien Wilson LB Eric Kendricks (used to be a very good coverage LB)

CB Cam Dantzler
CB William Jackson
CB Shaquill Griffin (I believe tore his ACL, but was pretty good before that)

S Chris Banjo (former Packers, I believe he joined a team as a coach)

K Randy Bullock

I think I mentioned this in the shout
Matt Ryan would be a great veteran to back up J.Love.
What I didn't realize was he had worked with Lefleur.
Some on the internet were saying his career is over.
Don't agree,  just the kind of guy to help J.Love through his 1st year.
Should be light cap hit

Yeah I would love to see Matt Ryan on our sidelines I think. As long as he doesn’t actually see playing time or try to teach Love how to keep a lead in a game.

Tonyan to Chitcago.

Good draft for TEs, but they'll take two years to develop. No cap room for free agents. Just sayin.

Teams could run at us at will by the end of the season. I think that was the first time Dez Bishop stood Adrian Peterson up in the hole. But overall we couldn't stop the run at all at the end.
