Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he’s going into “sensory-deprivation isolation” after the Super Bowl, which should help him decide his NFL future.

Aaron Rodgers said he's gonna go on some retreat thing where he's in complete darkness for four straight days/nights. He'll have a bathroom. He'll be given food through an opening.

The response to this has been dumbfounding. Why do people care so much? Why the ridicule? Must we sling hateful comments towards anything we do not understand or unable to comprehend?

No, I couldn't go four days, but I do think it would be a great thing for many of us to just completely detach for 24-48 hours. People are so in NEED of being entertained they have forgotten that is okay to be bored. Some of the most profound things come from when we are utterly bored (not being entertained) because our mind does it's thing.

I'm glad he's secure enough in himself and his actions to talk about this stuff publicly.  Even if it's not for you, it's great to have your horizons broadened.

The ESPN headline is wrong. He's not doing this to find his "NFL light". He's doing this for himself, period. I hate the media.

Man, everything Rodgers says or does is criticized by some in the media.  I may be exaggerating a tad but they will report it if they find out he farted.  No wonder so many fans are getting Rodgers fatigue.  I don't blame him for wanting to get away from it all.  He, like most athletes, like the limelight but lately this may getting ridiculous even for him.

“Beware that, when fighting Bears, Lions and Vikings, you yourself do not become a Bear, Lion or Viking.. for when you gaze long into the darkness, the darkness gazes also into you.”
-Ray Nitschke (Probably)

All joking aside, I don't get the hoopla in the media over this that's been going around the past week. I mean, Rodgers isn't the first athlete to take a trip or whatever to clear his head to think about this future.

I think everyone goes through a "what is my purpose" phase in life. Maybe more than once.

I guess I don't get the big hoopla over it and why it's being made into such a big deal.

Mucky Tundra (28-May) : Cooper stock=BUY BUY BUY
